I haven't been in this thread for a while, but I look at the usernames...you are all my friends and Gilmer we are all your friends and we adore you....this is honestly the worst news I have ever heard. Sorry. But so shocked honey. Wish there was a way you are wrong.....that the doctors are mistaken. Miracles happen every day....we want one here.

Kathy, I count you among the few true friends I have. Your honesty and integrity and desire to help and believe in others has been a lodestar here for many of us. My heart goes out to you and your family as you walk this final earthly journey, but I know your god is waiting for you at the end of it. Your faith will support you in the dark times. You will be utmost in my thoughts and I am always here if you need me. Even though we have not met f2f, I still call you friend.

((((Gilmer)))) How are you doing? Even with this news you share it with such strength and dignity, encouraging all of your friends that it will be ok and wishing we weren't so sad. Even while you were going through this, always remembering each of us and what's going on in our lives (no I haven't had the courage to venture out into the sober dating world yet, lol, but you will be the first I share with when I do). I think it was PJ who, in another thread, mentioned the stages of grief. I think we're all comforted knowing that you have great faith to fall back on and rely on, but I assume he's correct that you will experience a myriad of emotions. Please lean on us when you need to! You are so loved xoxo
