2 weeks is a big deal MITA, always.
You have a big sparkly congrats in the 24.

And yeah, the hip stuff definitely contributes to back pain.
I am stiff too....a walking I will go. It helps me always.
Hope the doc can help you to feel better (and realise how young you are ). xx

Hi guys! Going to Walmart, so your prayers are appreciated.

I feel ya, MITA. My knee is still jacked up from January. Getting old sucks.

Kiki, your coin is beautiful and perfect.

Have an awesome day!

Morning everyone. Got my startin fluid and all the kids are upstairs playing. It’s a relatively quiet morning.

Welcome back Purps!

Oh good Lord good luck with that Bobbie. Once hubby gets home I have to go do Easter basket stuff. I never did it yesterday. I might need prayers too 😝

Have a great day everyone!

I'll keep this check in short b/c my laptop has decided it doesn't like my router today. A $50 Kindle does just fine, but my fingers are too big to type on this. Pardon any typos.

Anyway, welcome back Purps. Yeah I didn't have the best week ever either. Let's get it right, OK?

The birds are starting to migrate on the river so I went for a look. Not much. Bufflehead, Ring-necked Duck, Horned Grebe, Double-crested Cormorant. The usual suspects, but birdnames are always fun. How do they come up with them? That Ring-necked Duck DOES NOT have any kind of ring on its neck!

I'm making an Easter basket for my wife-- yes I do that, lol. Went to the store and all the candy was half off so I loaded up on Lindt, Ghirardelli, Godiva. Oh and Brach's jelly beans for old times sake. I called a halt whent it came to the stuffed animal rabbit.

Geez how do people type on these little things? Well, have a great day. Come back tomorrow! I'll be here and sober too.

Sorry everyone I think I'll just back out as gracefully as I can.

I used to make dumb jokes: "Its not the end of the world. Its just the end of you."

Haha. Nothing has changed.

Actually......the ring is very subtle but it’s there. A cinnamon color that I need a spotting scope to see. Not sure why someone decided on that feature to name this guy.... the bill is much more distinct.

I bet it’s beautiful up there now. Migration is in full swing down here in San Diego now too, but where you are is oh so much more vibrant!

When we’re bored down here we try and tell the difference between gulls...lol!

Welcome back Purp.

Some enlightening moments this week for me. I received a small promotion at work and they announced it this week to the dept, with a little champagne get together on the balcony. The next day was our 32 wedding anniversary. I avoided alcohol on both counts...remembering that the beauty of the moment can really only be felt without being numbed out.

On the balcony I held a bottle of water in my hand for the toasts. “I’m on a diet” was my answer to anyone handing me a flute of bubbly. I did feel awkward but alas, that’s the real me. At dinner, my husband invited our youngest daughter...making it easier to not drink. I was the driver.

Two months sober on Monday and I am so happy. I have the whole week off this week and I can’t wait to relax and have some fun here at my staycation!

Casey I just ordered the classic nes Nintendo and I’ll be playing me some Zelda. Mwhahaha!

I had no idea we had a few awesome bird watchers in our group. A safe and sane hobby, to be sure.

Congrats on the promotion, Lillian. Sounds like you handled everything like a champ. Now go get some Zelda

As maybe you can tell, my new strategy is to post early and post often. I've thought in the past that maybe I only need SR at the beginning or when things got tough, or some other times. I thought that after I reached a certain point, I could dial it back and coast along. I've been wrong. And I see that there are many people here on SR with a lot of sobriety time that still post regularly. I'm adopting their strategy - mine was continuing to fail me - only took me 2 years to figure this out - I'm a little slow

Hope everyone is having a good day! Here comes Peter Cottontail .....

I am not an avid bird watcher. BUT- every morn, at the false dawn...a young maggie perches on the very top- the pinnacle of a big old pine tree near my home...and warbles it's tribute to the sun. Always faces east. Cat-S would have been proud.

At my old house every morning right before the sun came up a bunch of birds would gather in our fruit trees and chirp away and every morning I wanted to go Tony Montana on them. I was so happy when we moved!
