Good morning Overs.

Congratulations Babs Unfortunately even if you did shout from the roof tops the normies would not understand your achievement and would feel sorry for you. So here's some hugs.

Have a good day everyone.

Morning overs

Congratulations Babs on 2 years yaaaaaay

London marathon is on today.

Itchy, hope your arm is soon better.

The sun is shining and the blossom tree is the best it’s been for years, that glut of sunshine really brought it on. So nice to see., at the risk of repeating myself again! Lol.

Going to water my pots shortly, feeling very much at peace with myself today.

Have a lovely Sunday overs xx

Congrats on 2 years, Babs! Very inspiring indeed.

Today marks 8 years and 10 months for me. Where does the time go?

Picked up a few more cards at the show yesterday. Will have to cut back for awhile as my budget is now officially blown for the month!

Have a Super Sunday, overs!

Thank you everyone for all the congratulations. It made me feel special.
Ok---now here we go again. Let's move on and have another wonderful day.
Hubby is out grilling ribs and it's too early for him to have a cocktail so, we will eat this meal together. That is a good start for the day.

Congrats on two years Babs!! I can't imagine how difficult it must be living with an active drinker.

FBL, that cool that you have 100k sober miles on your car. My current vehicle was my transport for my final three years of drinking and knew how to turn into every liquor store that I frequented. Though, I believe that the car has more sober miles on it than drinking miles, so there's that.

Midwest, great to see you!

Finally nice weather in my parts, but the ground is too soggy to do any serious yard work yet. Just picking up a lot of small branches that came down over the winter.

Itchy, I hope your new house does not have all the acreage that you have now. I like the privacy, but it can be a lot of upkeep.

Take care everyone!

Good morning, Overs!

It looks and feels like spring at last. It’s bright and sunny with delightful temps. I slept for 9 solid hours last night - very rare - happens about once every couple of years :-)

Have a good one.

Babs- the ribs sound great! I live with a drinker too. right now it is vodka at 8 am and supposedly it is all he is having today...

Itchy- I am afraid to look at those articles! I do like to swim at the gym.

Saskia- that is great you slept 9 hours! I tossed and turned which is unusual for me.

The high is 57 F here and it is rainy right now.

It rained here off and on all day but at least it wasn't cold. I even opened up the windows. I cleaned house and mad tacos for supper. I hope everyone else had a good day too.

Morning overs

It must be challenging, especially when first sober, living with a drinker.

Sassy pleased you had a good nights sleep.

I have a good alarm clock nowadays, my cats! They run up and down the hall and generally make a lot of commotion until I get up! Fortunately it is usually the time I should be up!

Price William and Kate just on the news carrying their third baby out of hospital.

I have an appointment with HR at work today. To discuss cutting my hours officially.

Have a good Tuesday overs xx

Andy,
So true! Normies and active drinkers have no clue of what it takes to truly recover,

Babs,
I live with an active drinker too. And she still smokes. I can't believe how stinky she can get from a smoke break outside. You're doing great kiddo!

Mags,
Glad to hear your sunny days are giving you such pleasure. And yes, my arm has responded to the 500mg twice daily Keflex capsules. The tenderness and red swelling is just a bit of swelling now and the red streak is gone. I'm still finishing the whole course of Keflex. I don't want to create Keflex resistant microbial creepy crawlies.

We had another 24 hours of rain we couldn't see the street through, but no dangerous winds. We had sunny weather today too.

FBL,
Congratulations on the cards and the years, I'm proud for you.

IWL,

Star,
Yeah buddy soggy here too! I did get the sticks and some big branches picked up last week when it just dried enough to not get stuck. Lots to do after the big storms. We lost power again Saturday night in the downpour. Glad we have the generator. And no, I'm trying to find a small one acre place in Colorado. Maybe even move into an over 55 community. Everything is on the table now. We also have some younger friends interested in the property already and may do it "by owner." Our realtor was warned we'll try to sell it ourselves first. He's the same guy who sold it to us back in 2003.

No more land, just a nice cottage or underground converted missile silo. (just kidding, too many stairs in silos!) Amen on the lot of upkeep. I think I'm through playing with my man size Tonka toys.

Sass,
Good for you!

Midwest,
Whoa! I used to drink scotch in my morning coffee to stop the shakes. I'm sorry. Hey I used to be the only one with a spouse that still drank and now there are at least three of us here. My SH has no effect on my sobriety.
It's been weird here. we had mid 80s a few weeks ago but have had no highs higher than 65° here for the last couple of weeks.

Have a great week overs!
