LOL Don't feel bad Vee ~ That's where Bruce Willis is talking to himself in the mirror singing "I'm just a love machine" and doesn't realize Ross is hiding under the bed

Oh good! I didn't realize you already watched it ~ Well there it is again

My Mom claims to not like the show, but even she chuckled when I showed her that clip a while back....I think she was just relieved she didn't have to sit through the entire episode.....no wonder where my A.D.D. comes from

Just sharing with you that last week there came one of those situations we recognise as the start of a new chapter: my DD sustained a moderate head injury and will need to be looked after by me and lead a quiet life for some weeks.

The outlook is positive, she should make a normal recovery.

I'm so grateful I could be there for her.

Thoughts on non-stimulating ways to pass the time will be welcome. (Not permitted any tv, computers, noise, excitement)

Take care, dear people. Life changes in an instant sometimes.
Prayers for your DD Caramel. So glad you checked in!

Way to look out for your sobriety Purp! Your AV is probably pissed! Hahahaha. F your AV because you ain’t drinking!!!

Hey y’all! Finally checking in! I woke up late this morning after a bad night sleep (crazy dreams!) and had to rush off to my meeting. It was a pretty good meeting!

Our oldest son is home from college so I took him shopping, to a movie and then to dinner after I got home from my meeting earlier today. It was nice to have him all to myself for half the day. Those are the moments I’m extremely grateful to be sober!

Night all!

I'm very touched by all the kind responses to my post - thank you, everyone.
There are some really helpful suggestions there and I'll certainly look for books to read aloud; colouring; patio-gardening; a park and pretty ponds and gardens to contemplate; a regular and sedate routine.
My DD is an adult; it's the communication devices that are hardest to ration!
It's early days yet but I'm thankful the outlook is positive.
Thank you *so much* for your generous responses, prayers, s and good wishes.

Prayers to you and yours C.
I am beginning to feel as if this place may be a home (where I live). I have been in 'bug out' (apols to MASH) mode. Home making- I actually bought door mats. Still a feeling as if something will go wrong there, but reduced now.

Morning.

Caramel - so glad to hear your daughter will be okay. Very scary to think how quickly everything can change. Sending love.

Well I hate to say it but I’m struggling. No reasons or excuses - they’re kinda the same thing anyways. So just saying it out loud. I won’t drink today.

Happy Thursday.

Sam..that happens to me, usually manifesting with migraines. I will be cruising through a day- then the stressy feelings arrive.....
'Old Timers' often remark that when they feel down, they know it is just a phase and they patiently wait it out.
Support to you.

Saying it is good Sam love.
I wish Casey had done that....

This is hard.....sometimes life gets on top of us and it is harder to remember the tools....stress makes us revert to habit I think....but we don't have to....you can get through today love.

Let us help.

Big hug for you. ♥♥

Door mats sound awesome, PHX.

Hey Sam. Always here. Good on you for saying it out loud. (I don't remember who used to say that, but I like it.)

Hey Suze!

My dental work has me feeling uncomfortable and a bit whiny. I'll get over it.

Have an awesome day, awesome people.

Casey.
