Happy freaking Friday, people!

Thanks for all the birthday wishes.

First telling of my story is over. Feels good to have that behind me. My husband went with me. It was his first ever AA meeting. He was impressed. I'm glad he got to meet my people.

I spoke of this group and how you were all instrumental on getting me to the right path. Finding this site accidentally really saved my life I think.

PHX - I'm excited about your art stuff. Can't wait to see it on instagram.

I am attending a retreat this weekend with 2 other women. Kind of a spiritual quest I think. I'm pretty excited about it.

Have an awesome Friday guys!

Thought for the Day

Strength comes from the fellowship you find when you come into A.A. Just being with men and women who have found the way out gives you a feeling of security. You listen to the speakers, you talk with other members, and you absorb the atmosphere of confidence and hope that you find in the place. Am I receiving strength from the fellowship with other A.A. members?

Meditation for the Day

God is with you, to bless and help you. His spirit is all around you. Waver not in your faith or in your prayers. All power is the Lord's. Say that to yourself often and steadily. Say it until your heart sings with joy for the safety and personal power that it means to you. Say it until the very force of the utterance drives back and puts to naught all the evils against you. Use it as a battle cry. All power is the Lord's. Then you will pass on to victory over all your sins and temptations, and you will begin to live a victorious life.

Prayer for the Day

I pray that with strength from God I may lead an abundant life. I pray that I may lead a life of victory.

Good morning everyone! I’ve been up since 4:45am. I couldn’t go back to sleep so I got up and enjoyed my coffee in silence. I’m starting to think I need to get up before everyone else more often!

Have a great day everyone!

Morning gang. Happy Friday!!

Been up and working for a few hours - hoping for a more or less regular day so I can ease into the weekend. Now that I'm home for a bit, I'm trying to eat a little better. I've got some meals prepped for the weekend - hoping to not cave and go out and buy a cake or something

Bobbie, a quest? Like for the Holy Grail?

I hope everyone has a great day. Lillian, enjoy the rain - you make it sound so nice!

Hope you start feeling better, Kiki.

MITA - I don't know. Maybe. I'll let you know if we find it.

PR - I love that early morning time. I just sometimes love it more if I'm still in bed.

Oh, PR, I can only imagine. I've mostly forgotten what those early kid years were like - totally blocked from my memory (and I'm okay with that)!

I've still got a little work to do before I can call it a week. Planning on being a boring sober guy this weekend

Lol PR. They can be.

Sounds like a great plan, MITA.

So, I am off for the weekend. Hope you all have the best sober weekend ever. I should be checking back in on Sunday to let you know if I found the Holy Grail.

I always find it hilarious when older women who don’t know me tell me one day you will miss these days. I have a 27 year old he was almost 19 when I had my 2nd child. I’ve been on the other side and I guarantee I will not miss the toddler years! 🤨

Me too! I think I was drunk through their toddler years. Ugh.
