Thanks for the kind words, Leigh. A big part of my getting better at adulting is people like you and Kris. Virtual hugs... |
I'm all set for another 24 hours of sobriety! 7:21 PM on Orcas Island. |
22:22 EST and another 24 for me! Not sure why I was thinking about this today, but it is so scary how someone with lengthy sobriety can suddenly relapse...fatally. And their friends and family left puzzled...he/she was doing so well, had it beat, won the battle...until they didn't. Sorry to be a downer but just been hearing about too many of these lately and fear for my friends and myself. Guess I have to just dig deep and be grateful for each day as I should. |
May I please have another 24 hours with a side of knowing what's real? Thank you. |
Good to have you back Carpone! Just remember: it’s a lot easier staying sober than getting sober 24 of hope for all of us |

This could be any of us. And I don't want it to be. I want lyddie to read this and know how much we want her to have her life back; we want her to know the hope and freedom that we feel. Sorry....emotional tonight. |

And sorry to add to it, but I can't help thinking about lyddie.....we all care about her I know. I miss her terribly. A long run of sobriety followed by a relapse that became another relapse. This could be any of us. And I don't want it to be. I want lyddie to read this and know how much we want her to have her life back; we want her to know the hope and freedom that we feel. Sorry....emotional tonight. No words. |
