Morning everyone! Waking up a little late. I feel very sluggish too Casey. I ate a giant candy bar while laying in bed right before I feel asleep last night. Hahahaha! It was good! I had a fun weekend. Sober, productive and present for my family. It’s nice. :-) 2 AA meetings tonight (there are 2 back to back ones and they are both really good). Tacos for dinner. Mmmm! Mish...I’m so glad you quit a job that was making you miserable! Good for you! I’m doing some weeding of things I don’t like or that mess with my serenity too! (Including people!) ha! Good morning everyone. I went to bed when the kids did last night. I need to do that more often 😁 I was woken up in the middle of the night by my daughter. Her tooth fell out. She was sleeping and it literally just fell out of her mouth 😮 Glad she didn’t swallow it. Now I just need to remember to be the tooth fairy tonight. Have a great day everyone! |

Hey guys! Busy here at work. Mish - woohoo! I feel lighter for you! I'm up, Casey, but dragging. Watching Olivia overnight while she's teething kicked my butt. Baby 1 - Grandma 0. Ah well, it was fun. Sophia woke up and sat straight up and said, "I want a popsickle". That's my girl. Purple - Great job this weekend. Sam - Have an awesome day at work. Kiki - I want a candy bar now. Was it a Heath? Hey, BBG! PR - that chandelier is awesome! I get that some might feel that they haven't made progress in 2 years (or 4). I just don't see it that way. Quit my job today. Yay! Had to give 4 weeks notice. Funny how sobriety makes you realise what's really important. Feeling a whole lot better since I realised it was my job causing me to be a basket case. I don't need to work in such a role..we don't need the money and I honestly think that I held on for so long because of my ego. Being the boss held status even though I was miserable.....pretty shallow hey. I'm going to do something for a job now that makes me happy not because of how I am perceived by others in terms of status in my job. I wonder what opportunities will present themselves? Wow...I really am learning. |
Got my 'sponsor' coming for tea, then a meeting tonight. We used to do a meeting every Wed. for over a yera- but my unit is too far out of his way. I say 'sponsor' with the brackety things, because I usually give him more guidance these days..the booze part- when I mentioned coming up to 2 years and interesting how no fuss made when I goyt a year up (like someone that night at a meeting..speech, cake-etc)- he said ' yeas, but you are different- you do not need it', meaning I do ok. He is very intelligent and probably one of the least practical people I know. More a friend now. He was the first person to approach me just after I stopped boozing living in that hell-hole, I had lost 55 kg and was very sick. Got a lot of time for him..even tho he is about a squillion years old (79). |
Well as you know your two-year anniversary is kind of important to US. And we need it..... :) I think a bit of fuss will do you some good as well. Neoo's courtcase is on Mar 26....I already told him it is going to be a great day. :) |
