Morning!!

Rainy and windy in my neck of the woods.

Purplrks - good story!! Lol.

Suze - sounds like an exhausting but productive day!

PR - I don’t know what the Austin Powers theme song is but I have a feeling that that might not be a bad thing.

Casey - your day yestersay sounded perfect...especially the not drinking part

Well I’m off for now. I only have today off and it’s a grocery shopping, laundry, cleaning, food prep kinda day!!

Thanks for checking in, Sam ~ Hope with all that you still get to relax!

And if anyone wants some music to distract what's in your head, I could share a video or 12

Back to work today. May it be a short, easy one. Not being hungover will certainly help.

Don't drink. It's not wise.

Good morning everyone!

I’m sipping my now cold startin fluid playing with the wee one. I should get moving on breakfast for hubby and I but I'm lazy. I made chorizo yesterday, I even ground the meat myself so it should be delicious but even that isn’t getting me moving 😝

Have a happy Sunday!

Went downtown for a little bit and walked around.....had a big piece of pizza and a coke to drink

Walked by one of the indoor/outdoor bars, and I think for the first time I could smell the alcohol coming from there and it was NOT inviting.....gladly continued walking....

Then I went to this store I really like called Elysian Fields ~ got a "Rejuvenation" Beeswax candle and three more healing stones

Good job walking past those bars, Purps.

Work was work. We were fairly busy but mainly just a little short-staffed. It all went OK. Now I'm home. Cooking some chicken wings then I'm going to go read in a hot bath for a bit. Maybe AA tonight. Maybe not. Ok, to be honest, probably not. I think I'm just going to be a bum around here. AA or not, I ain't drinking tonight. No matter what.

How's everyone else doing? Wake up Aussies!

Great job Purplrks!!!

Casey - chicken wings sound yummy!!

Quiet night here which has been nice. Will soon be tea time, followed by bedtime. Have a tough day ahead tomorrow just with some staffing stuff. Knowing something is the right thing doesn't make it any easier. Anyways off I go. Sleep well class

Good job Purps!!

Casey I think you and I could be good friends in real life. Reading in a warm bath is heaven! Add in a few essential oils and you have total relaxation.

I ordered my new light fixture today. Hubby told me to order it over a week ago and even though that is without a doubt the one I want, I hesitated. Well today I checked my email, something I never do (I have close to 20k UNREAD emails) and there was an email from the online store with a code for 15% off chandeliers today only. It will be here in a few days, I can’t wait!!!! It is rustic with wood and wire, kind of like chicken wire, jewels and the lights look like candles. Total rustic glam! 😍 it will look great over my farmhouse dinning table.

Good luck Sam. My uncle (by marriage) once had to fire my dad from his job. My dad knew it was coming, even back then if you punched a coworker in the mouth you got fired 😂 It still was hard for my uncle to do.

1600 Monday here. Small, but good meeting. I shared on the importance of understanding our own positives, as well as the negative. Do onto ourselves how we do to others.

The light sounds awesome PR. What a nice happenstance to find that coupon!

Day 23 put to bed and I’ve been thinking about whether this will finally be my last day 23. Some folks were bummed it’s been two years since we started this gig and not as far as they wanted to be. I feel that too...it’s actually been over four years for me. I’ve changed though. I see things differently. I appreciate my sober days now instead of dread them. I stumble but I’m pretty clear on what I want and have accepted that alcohol is really really bad for me. Progress.

Just need to work on keeping it up and not letting my guard down.

Sounds like your meeting would have been really interesting PJ!

Monday tomorrow...ugh.

Quit my job today. Yay! Had to give 4 weeks notice. Funny how sobriety makes you realise what's really important. Feeling a whole lot better since I realised it was my job causing me to be a basket case. I don't need to work in such a role..we don't need the money and I honestly think that I held on for so long because of my ego. Being the boss held status even though I was miserable.....pretty shallow hey.
I'm going to do something for a job now that makes me happy not because of how I am perceived by others in terms of status in my job. I wonder what opportunities will present themselves? Wow...I really am learning.

Congrats Mish! You sound much better already.....I know you'll find something fantastic

Funny how over the weekend I couldn't sleep in, but now I feel like a zombie.....how does the body know it's Monday morning? Well, no hangover so that's a win

Sam I hope your day goes by quick and painless
