Morning, guys.

I always find it good to be honest and say how you feel. Doesn’t always go over too well here either, Mark. Perhaps I’m not the best salesman.

Have a great rest of the weekend.

Wife and I had a bit of a round yesterday as I finally decided to express how some things make me feel. Why do I find that soooo hard to do!? Anyway, it didn't go over so well initially but maybe today the air will have cleared. So it was early to bed and now up and around for a quiet cuppa. Sister messaged me yesterday to join her for coffee this morning. I always enjoy our time.

Mostly sunny and 70 today so I plan an afternoon of outside activity and a lot of vitamins D! Steak and twice baked potato this evening for a cheat meal. Yum.

Wishing each of you the best day.
Hope the air is fresh and clean today,, Mark. ❤️

That is a good practice, Arbor.

When I was younger, I tended go let it build up. Minnesota the kettle boiled, it wasn't pretty

But it's important. People may not always like to hear stuff, but if we need to talk about it, then we should.

I think of advice that you gave me Arbor....to pick your battles. I think I get that now, but I want a relationship where we can always tell each other how we feel....I know that doesn't always go over so well in the big wide world though.

Did I give that advice? Well, good on me! It’s true. Even more so with little ones.

I think sometimes I don’t always explain things verbally all that well. I give signs in other ways that aren’t always the most productive. Also, I write better. Which is why I’m here on SR.

One thing I always thought I was good at while I drank was speaking and telling a story. I’d get into it and be passionate about it because I was fuled on booze. Now, I’m more even tilled (and a tired Dad) so I don’t get into the convo as much. It’s not good. Sometimes I let myself get very angry. I need to be able to deal with that better, but don’t always know how to go about doing it.

I think the key is being aware of it Arbor love.
And when you feel yourself starting to get angry, and it's sticking, maybe something just for you that calms you down like your music, or maybe a really good long chat with your wife or a good friend.

Or maybe I'm tired and giving dumb advice....I will end with lots of love.

Our two year old has the flu. Was confirmed today after the test came back positive. They say it’s a mild case, but we are treading cautiously. I just went out and got my flu shot today. Normally don’t get one, but seems silly not to now. My oldest and wife had one already so we are good there. Perhaps it’s mild as my Youngest did have the shot months ago. They say it helps. I sometimes think the media likes to hype up the worst case scenario this time of year. As a parent you certainly dont like to hear about them.
