Oh Dee, you didn't put a link to this thread on the end of the 52nd, I thought for a horrible moment we weren't being continued! Had to wade back through the pages of new posts but phew!

Thanks Dee, we can't afford to lose any of our remaining Marchers!

Or is it as Sass says; you, rock!

hi guys ! Made it back last night at 11:30 PM and I sat next to a gal on the plane that yaked all the way back. The time went by sooo fast and my hubby said no wonder your horse today. ha ha . I did have a good time and we actually got along quite well. Getting away from our surroundings really helped our relationship. He still had his drinks but, was well behaved. I'm very happy about that.
Hope you guys are doing ok. It's funny being gone for just a couple of days and I really did miss talking to you. See ! ! ! ! you are my rock. Hugs

Sass, you were featured in a dream I had last night. You owned a white dog with a really long neck and a small head. In the dream I thought it looked like a sloth!

Am I weird or what?

Gil, I have the strangest dreams, last night I told my mom I wasn't going to bother finishing school!

Good to have you back Babs, and really happy that you and hubby had such a nice break.

Babs, great to hear you had a good time and that you and hubby got along well!

Gilmer, hmmm, is the sloth a reference to my current extreme laziness?

Hi dear Toots

I have never associated you with laziness, Sass—I can’t see beyond my own!

A couple weeks ago I met a baby who had a stuffed sloth—that must have contributed. Why you—who knows?

Doing well and thanks for the welcome back. Things are good. What the heck?

That's right: snow, frigid temps, and bitter wind chill in middle Georgia. I may be stuck at home for a while.

Same here Trach ---It's finally warming up I think today we have it a little warmer. About 5 above 0 and that's pretty warm compared to yesterday.
Hi there Sass--your up bright and early this morning.
Have a good day everyone !
going to a meeting today----They put out a little paper that goes to certain area facilities and also some of the prisons so, I always go and help put it together. It goes out once a month and has some interesting articles in it.

Go sledding, Trach!

We got a dusting here overnight, too.

Speaking of snow, why on earth don’t they sell Flexible Flyers anymore? Those were fun and extremely safe, because you could steer them, thus avoiding trees and brush. The disks that are sold exclusively today are fun and exciting, but completely uncontrollable.

I don’t get it. Adults today are such Chicken Littles about “Safety First!”—like how kids have to wear helmets in order to ride bikes—yet they have stopped selling sturdily built, controllable sleds.

Snow days when I was a kid were a blast! There were two big hills in my neighborhood: one was long, and the other was super steep. Hours and hours of fun. Or when I was older, getting dropped off at the town’s public golf course. Unlimited very long and very steep hills, with many obstacles to avoid. The steering was almost as much fun as flying down the hill!

And it was such great exercise to trudge back up those giant hills to fly down again!

Sigh. Now all I do is sit on the couch!

“Glory days—pass you by...”

With the lack of snow, we had our own "sledding":

A sheet of cardboard and a long hill of grass.
