24 more for me! I had terrible insomnia last night, but instead of making me want to drink and smoke weed, it is making me more determined to get through this and embrace my new sober life. I have never been so scared but excited at the same time. There is a future for me now that doesn't have to be a bleak descent into alcoholic hell. Sorry if this is a little dramatic, but it's been a rough night. I am so grateful for being able to find my way back to sobriety though. So grateful.

Almost 10 am over here in rainy Maryland and I’m here for another 24.

I am pretty sure I have the flu. Day 3.5 and I still feel like utter baloney although the body aches have improved. I had to cancel my therapy for tonight because I am coughing now. I just pray to God that my kids and husband don’t get it.

My FIL left and I feel so blessed to have this day of peace with my toddler. He is watching tv and I am on the sofa. This is just the way it’s going to have to be today and I am trying hard not to feel guilty about it.

Yesterday's ordeal was not an ordeal at all. The rehab place is mostly run by people who have been where we've all been. I now have a programme set up that I have to fully commit to for the next 8 weeks and I am. Honesty & no bs accepted and also an understanding that this is for me and not my family nor friends. It feels selfish but trying to please everyone doesn't help me. That's where I'm at today. Day 8. Hope all are ok, will look around & catch up later. Much Love 24'ers, SP
