Good evening class.
Day 2 coming to a sober end. I'm not supposed to be counting days, but when my sobriety date is the first of the year, it's kinda hard:-)
Today went well. I stuck to the plans I'd made for the day pretty well and headed off any undue AV thoughts as they appeared.
Hope everyone else's day is going/has gone as well. If so please share and, more importantly, if not please post for support or just to vent.
Love to you all.

All the best to my fellow Januarians. SR was a huge help in the beginning when it felt like my safety net had been removed but eventually I learned that coming down from the high wire of daily drinking was the easier option.

Today has been a good day so far. I was all set to embrace a low-carb eating plan with lots of water, but I was derailed by Hershey's kisses and coffee. The day isn't over yet, I guess?

Good afternoon, everyone. Good to see you all here. After first visiting (and then disappearing from) this site in 2015, I came back in November, once again determined to stop drinking. I was checking in with the daily 24-hour thread, and things seemed to be moving right along until last Friday the 29th, when I decided to drink. Instead of hitting that 2-month mark on the 5th, it was back to day one on the 30th. Today I went to an AA meeting for the first time. I was extremely nervous, but it turned out to be a really positive experience. So glad I finally went and can keep going. See you all soon!

Wrapping up day 4 here. Anxiety through the roof. Hit gym hard. Which helped. Started reading This Naked Mind, which has what seems to give a good acct of alcohol and ways to cope and move forward. Work tomorrow. For those across the pond, keep the sober light on. Bed in a few here.

Congrats and welcome those just joining. BC

Had a fairly good day, was a bit mixed up because I had to have my son at the airport by 5am for his trip to go back to university. It was not pleasant as I will miss him but I am very proud of him so its good. Didn't do much today except rest after no sleep last night (helping him pack etc) but did an amazing workout tonight and then a nice dinner, going to read or watch tv and have a good night sleep, first day back to work tomorrow after being off for the holidays. So grateful to be on day 3.

Glad you had a good(ish) sober day fhl41. My daughter is a junior this year. I can't imagine a plane ride to get to her. But it is coming soon enough. I hope your return to work is a good one.

I am so tired. I've cleaned more in the past 2 days than I have in a month. Wowza. I'm about to drink my bedtime tea and hopefully get a good night's sleep.

See you all tomorrow.

Morning.
On phoneymoon and rushing to work so can't reply to anyone but read everything and hope everyone doing good 😀

Had wild storms overnight lost power once and had little sleep and when I did sleep had many weird and disturbing dreams. feel groggy for first day back at work after 12 off but least no hangover. Day 5.

Morning all from Scotland,
Made another 24 hours. Very grateful to wake up hangover free, but was not expecting to wake feeling like I've been run over by a truck.
A small price to pay, so not really complaining. Hope everyone is managing to stay on track, and I'll check in later. Hx

Haha! I did wonder what a phoneymoon was RAL!!

Day 6. Not quite finished but I will get there. Didn't sleep well again last night. Abdominal pains. But today I noticed my stomach has gone flatter!! Am so chuffed! Because of that, today I feel very positive! Am looking forward to seeing how much weight I can lose! Tomorrow will be the First Time Ever I have gone 7 straight days no drink (the shame!).
