There's a long running soap here called Home and Away. There's a really Aussie character on it called Alf. One of his (not at all rude ) expletives is Strewth

Dee, I also thought our stuff was "not that funny" but it kind of is....all you need to do is stand in the middle of a room here and speak Stralyan.....the looks on peoples' faces is completely priceless.

You guys! I’m not that linguistic that I can chop and change languages!
After 4 years, I’ve only just got used to your American Drawl and Australian twang! Or is it the other way around? ( no offence meant!) Hope you understand my English ok? Given a smattering of Scottish and Irish and I’m all done in!

I spoke with an elderly Scottsman once and could only understand about 1 in 10 words - very funny conversation
