Have a good day! Hang in there!

Yay Bobbie!

Well I’m almost done with my thanksgiving shopping. I start cooking tomorrow. 😁 I took a shortcut this year, I bough ice cream. Yep that’s my big shortcut. 😂 Food allergies are no joke. 😔 I even bake the bread from scratch for the stuffing. I guess I t’s a good thing I love to cook.

So what is everyone doing this thanksgiving? I haven’t heard from my siblings, I don’t know if they are busy or miffed I didn’t invite everyone over. I cook for days and I clean for days and no one even offers to help clean up. This year I decided to just cook for my own family.

Very happy for you Bobbieka - that is awesome!

PeacefulRain, that is a lot of cooking - good thing you enjoy it

Our day will be kind of low key, but there is a luminary thing at the desert botanical garden that we are going to check out on Friday night.

I'm pretty sure Casey is making green eggs and ham ....

I'm pretty sure Casey is working unfortunately. It was Thanksgiving or Christmas. Grateful for my job but hate the soulless corporation I work for.

That's a pretty awesome early Christmas present, Bobbie! So Sweet!

Good for you, PR, setting up boundaries ~ now you'll have more leftovers!

I'll be working too...Thurs + Friday at my weekend job and I don't have to be in till noon on those days.....Sat/Sun will be regular schedule.....extra time with the "kids"

Guess what ~on Twitter my friend replied to the boys (GS) how we got our tickets to the show next year, included emojis and said how "there should be a drum emoji"....they responded to her tweet and said "Oh but there IS!" with a bunch of drum emojis! OMG!

Hi guys! Quick check in before we head out of town for the week. (we leave in the morning but it's already morning! 1:30 am and I'm STILL up!) I was doing 10 tons of laundry that my son brought home from college. Ha. My husband & 3 kids and I are heading to the mountains for thanksgiving! It's gonna be great to get outa here! I need a change of scenery BAD!

I ran 2 miles again today without stopping & it felt great! I use my running as a meditation & prayer time too. Very therapeutic!

BOBBIE: the promises are coming true for you. You've worked so hard. You deserve it! Xo

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Good for you, KK. In that light- I have just bought mahself a push bike. The last time I had one was 30 years ago. I looked at second-h ones, and came to 2 conclusions..there a SOME 2nd hand ones in good nick- the ones bought for Xmas and never used, but these are few- close to where I live. Then there are the really cheap ones- left outside with ads like 'heeds a bit of TLC'.
The second conclusion- well, a guy here (got kicked out 2w ago for very bad booze b-viour) bought a bike off someone for $20. When drunk. Then found out it was worth $500. He returned it to the police before he got into deeper waters.
So I got a brand spanking new one. Very good brand, 50% mark down, as sometimes happens. It has a manual on how to use it. I also chose to buy one in the city- because I can proof ride it in the parklands, not risk stuff on major roads- yet. Strangely- it takes a lot more effort than walking.

Good morning my March friends!

PJ, the bike sounds great - have fun.
Kiki, nice job with the 2 miles- I think that’s impressive!
BBG, hope the car situation has gotten better.
Enjoy your startin’ fluid, Sam-I-Am

My low back is still not 100%, but a little better each day. One more trip to the chiro this morning.

I promise not to drink today - that would be dumb.

Morning all! Nice sunny day ahead--I like it! My mood always improves with the weather.

PJ I had to look up "push bike." I didn't know that was Brit/Aus for a pedal bike. Good for you, and enjoy it! Just in time for summer down there!

I used to live on bicycles, including racing them. Between us, my wife and I have eight of them I think. Kind of ridiculous. But hey, if it warms up today I'll try to get out for a ride.

No big plans for T-day. We generally go out with another couple to a buffet. Mostly university types. It's nice, and I don't have to cook/clean.

Have a good day everyone!

Morning!

Our Thanksgiving is a lot of extended family. Around 50 people at my mother's small house. I used to medicate to get through this. Now I am really looking forward to it. Planning games, printing pages for kids to color. Last night I started cooking. Made my niece vegan chocolate chip cookie dough bars. Pretty good, I was a little surprised.

I am chairing the AA meeting that night. Instead of typical meeting, I am having everyone draw a word out of a bag and speak on that topic. AA related words. I think it will be cool and a little different since it is Thanksgiving. I'm pretty excited about that. Oh, and my sister is going with me since it is an open meeting. My favorite person gets to meet these very important people.

Have a great day, friends!!!

Wow. Lot of people up early this morning. Go get 'em Marchers!

I'm not even going to say "yuck" about going to work in a bit. I might think it, but I ain't saying it.

I won't take that first drink today. It's never the answer.
