Just got caught up on the previous thread, we really are a talkative bunch!! Sending lots of love and prayers to some of our friends who are struggling.
Weev, hang in there. Milestones can definitely trigger emotions, and I agree that when we were drinking we did such a great job of masking feelings, that we need to learn how to just feel them again. You are doing awesome!
Efra, I hope you read this thread, and see how many of us care about you. I really hope to see you back with us soon.
Neoo, I'm sorry things didn't work out with this relationship. Each time you date someone new you are getting closer to the person y are meant to be with. You are able to make choices about what you want/don't want in a relationship and use those when you meet someone else. I'm telling you, 2018 is going to be the year if Neoo!

Congratulations Saskia! Hope you're feeling OK today Weev and Neoo xx thanks for the new thread Dee. Sorry to hear about your mum''s dementia Barbieken. A truly awful disease. I hope you got to enjoy some of the time you spent together.
People from my past who I wish would stay in the past keep creeping into the present. It's making me feel quite anxious and triggering all kinds of old hurts and anger. I'm practising my CBT exercises and trying to remember that no one makes me respond with anger. I choose to respond with anger. And I can just as easily choose to respond with calmness and indifference. Quite a challenge for a hothead like me but losing my temper with these people has never worked out well for me in the past. It's time to try something new. I think I'm growing as a person!! It's taken a long time but it's really happening. 24 more hours for me please xxxx
