Carrying extra weight, 3st to be precise, isn't helping either, it's so time to sort my body, mind and life out!
Hope your meeting goes well tonight.x😃
Yoga is something I’d also like to try. I did take a class a couple years ago and found it very difficult actually; I think it was too advanced for me. I’d love some beginner recommendations as well.

I get 1:1 alcohol counselling sessions, we call my old friend "the enemy"! I would tell myself that I couldn't go out to do my hobby/or anything because I was too tired, not fair on my kids etc etc...it was really the enemy talking, getting me to stay home & drink!

My anxiety is a bit better but still tough. I'm on a low dose of citalopram for it. I was hoping it would be much better by now but sadly not.

I've tried yoga in the past but not liked it. Maybe Pilates? I think I need another distraction to keep me busy.

I think 1:1 counseling is a great choice. I see a therapist as well and have been for several years. She’s not an addiction counselor but has helped me with my anxiety disorder and depression. I’ve not been able to go to her recently as she’s been out on medical leave, but I have an appointment lined up when she’s back later in the month.
Don’t know if you’re looking for an exercise type hobby specifically, but do you like art at all? Painting? I’ve enjoyed the Art Sherpa on YouTube in the past. She has a ton of videos where you can paint along with her. Lots of beginner stuff.

I don't do any exercise and so thought would be a healthy choice, and might help with the anxiety. I used to love art but not sure about it at the mo...my kids are 4 & 7 years old, they'd probably steal any stuff I bought!! Ideas are welcome though!

Congrats, asix.

I'm really looking forward to not feeling awful as well. My whole day has been wasted not feeling well enough to do much of anything. I did it to myself. :/

Well I failed in my plan and I'm starting over. I stupidly rationalized a reason and as usual it ended bad. I'm going to do my best to make sure I stick to my plan and keep coming here for support.

I'm from the west coast of Scotland, scenery is very beautiful where I live, unfortunately the weather is dire! And we are plagued with midges every summer! Who just love to feast on me!!!

Day 5. Made it through the weekend! I’ve been battling fatigue and depression, but I’m hopeful. Good job, all. Keep it up.

So glad to see you all posting.
Just got home with my kids. Thinking towards starting dinner. A favorite time of mine to crack open a beer. I made myself some blueberry green tea instead.

Me too. Back to day 1 again. Alcohol only gives me headaches now, only after 1 cider, but I still do it. Maybe thinking this time I'll feel better? It never works out that way. So I drink because I'm ashamed. Such a vicious circle ☠️
