Class of October 2017 Support Thread pt. 3
Sobermummy03
Hey, welcome to SR!
I'm pretty new here too, I'm now on day 20 sober and found this amazing support network on day 2...
Everything your saying is normal! I'm sat here now awake at 2:31am! I'm waking up all through the night, exhausted all day, some days I'm getting up almost feeling hungover, having the headaches, restlessness, anxiety, exhaustion, up and down emotions...
BUT IT'S ALL WORTH IT ...
I'm finding out it tends to be around the month mark your body starts balancing out but seems a little different with each person. I'm finding it helps to see each negative symptom / feeling as a positive because it's our body telling us it's healing and letting out all the toxins and rubbish that have built up inside ...
My sleeping pattern is driving me mad, No matter how much I do during the day I can not sleep for more than 2 hours without waking...
I take a strong Vitamin B Complex now which has helped to lift the mental fog and give me more energy.
Stick with it and you're in the best place, I wouldn't of got through this last few weeks without the support on here!
Hope you're OK, stay strong, we can all help each other through this

Welcome to Tubesy, WestofOak, Letsdance, EastofEden, Getbetter72, and Sobermummy03...Whew!
I just go to the hotel in Phoenix after 6 1/2 hours on the road. Drove 417 miles.
Mechanic coming here in 1 1/2 hrs to check out the gas smell in truck.
They said they might have to swap trucks and have movers transfer my things into other truck...ugh.
Sobermummy - I'm at day 19 and I'm super bloated and have migraine type headaches. My pants are way too tight...
CClarity - Ba Bam on your 1 month!
VClones2 - 2 weeks!

Hey, you really need a Vitamin B Complex, the main one our bodies need after drinking is Thiamine which is Vit B 1, also the B's kind of work together. I know it's a pain if you got the B12 already but taking a high strength complex with all the B Vitamins in is really what you need and what will really make you feel alot better.
"I take Natures Aid High Potency Vitamin B Complex"
Hope you get sorted

Hey guys remember - share your experience but no recommendations please.

Good morning everyone
It's actually the middle of the night. I've been up since 4am it's now 5am and need to be up in two hours. Embracing the process. ( Iforget that sometimes.)
Just checking in and reading where everyone is at.
LuLu my uhaul broke down once in Agalala Nebraska. lol Middle of nowhere. It was an experience to say the least. They had to take everything out and put it in a new truck so I understand your frustration. It all worked out fine and I got to experience Agalala, which was a quaint small town that I've often thought about . You reminded me of that. Hope you are safe and sound and everything worked out okay.
See y'all soon and welcome everyone

Hi guys - just so everyone knows:
at the end of October this thread continues - but it moves to the Daily Support forum to make way for a new Class of November thread here, for the benefit of everyone quitting in November.
Nothing else changes with this October thread - it goes on....

Just popping in to say Hi. I have been drinking over the past couple of months but have cut back a lot and not drinking daily. I had a bottle of wine last night and woken up this morning wanting to abstain completely. I'm feeling a little ropey mainly from lack of sleep - As I am on Day 1 on 31st October I will be posting in the November thread when its created but I just wanted to wish every luck on their journey X
Hi all,
Welcome to the new members. Congratulations on not waiting until a new month to start - the best day is always today. I planned to quit "tomorrow" for a very long time.
I really like the way this group posts both the ups and the downs. A win for one person (looking at you Kit!) feels like a win for all of us. Similarly, there's been a lot of support and advice for those of us struggling.
It's the end of the month, and we'll all be moving along. Feels like being on a ship just as the last passengers get on board and we set sail. I'm really hoping no one jumps overboard to drink the salt water.
I'm shocking with names, but I'll try to remember a few (love to you all though):
Kit - Congratulations again. I was confident in you, but also nervous!
Badgerden - I think you're the glue holding us together
rbgmeat360 - I haven't commented on your posts, but I've read them. Hi!
LuluBread - Heart on your sleeve. Love your posts.
Victor - Same as meat above. Hi to you too!
Soulshine & ready - Stick together! One day at a time.
Bob - Keep rollin, rollin, rollin, rawhide!
Dee - No words could do it justice. It would be a handshake of gratitude.

Happy Halloween and terrific Tuesday all!
Rubaduck- such kind words!
Yeah Bob! day 4 and yes Thanksgiving is awesome!!
LuLu and Wax- My recommendation is that you two never travel together, just a thought,,,,
I woke up around 3am, the time I would usually wake up when I was drinking, and I laid there thinking "what the h*ll!' than my brain woke up, and I realized that while I have stopped drinking, I hadn't changed my pre sleep/pass out habit of taking melatonin and benadryl to try to sleep through a wine hazed night. which never worked very well actually. So I am now going to wean myself off those meds,,,,, okay drugs, and get my body back to a natural circadian rhythm. My shift schedule messes my body up anyway, but I cant help but think my sleep meds are not all that helpful.
Hoping to get my hair cut today, race through the grocery store, change oil in car and get home to trick or treaters.
Stay strong all!!
