Class of March 2016 part 59
Okay I was confused for a minute there. Lol. I was in the old thread, couldn't post and it said it was closed....but no new thread. Must have come in right as Dee was working his magic. Thanks Dee!!
Morning!
Beautiful day here. The house is so quiet and I'm just having some startin' fluid and hanging out with Charlie. I had hoped to sleep in a little but I woke up at 4:30 as usual. Lol. Damn internal clock.
No real plans today. Just going to get the normal grown up tasks out of the way - like laundry and groceries. But maybe IKEA tomorrow.

Good morning everyone ☕️ I’m copying this from the old thread since we get a new one 😊
Kiki great job staying sober!!
Phoenix I’m so glad you will be able to have the webbing you need for your arm💕
Purp stick close. Maybe you could try a meeting or two during your vacation? Enjoy your time off.

Hi Sam and BBG!!
Morning all. Just trying to keep on keepin on.
Good to see you back, Bobbie. Spreading your success in counseling and such is an incredibly noble goal. I salute you.
bbg, it happens so redouble.
Well done with the cravings and thoughts, Kiki.
Hello Cristina, congrats on nine months and defeating any bad thinking.
Sam, this getting older thing sucks. I yearn for the days I could sleep in. Nope, the body/brain knows...weekend or day off it's still wake up time earlier than we'd prefer.

Morning, Sober People!
Pleasant night last night with family.
Thirteenth - good to see you. Have a great day!
Samantha - woohoo! It's here! Vacation!!! Enjoy your time off.
BBG - Have an awesome day. I'm with Sam - adulting sucks.
Kiki - way to get through your day. You know, the more you do, the easier it gets. Well done.
PR - Hope family is on the mend and that there are no swim lessons on your agenda.
Cristina - Have the most awesome day!
Purple- I might be passing through in January. Will try and let you know so we can have some starting fluid or something.
MITA - Hey! Have an awesome day out there on the west coast.
PHX - glad you're getting the webbing for your arm. Really glad you are taking care of your young friend. Every girl needs a friend like you. Are you enjoying the museum gig? It sounds fun.
Pelagic - hope you are having a good time.
Well - off to work. Been pretty busy. Starting fluid in hand. Now I'm working the 11th step. "Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God as we understood Him, praying only for knowledge of His will for us and the power to carry that out." Honestly, this has become my life. Funny though, I'm not religious, but truly seeking for spirituality and mindfulness in my life has brought a lot of peace. The most awesome part though is noticing the way my family sees my changes. It has really brought so many good things to my family. When I was a mess, we were a mess. Feeling very grateful.

Morning all - nice to see so much activity in our little thread.
I am back in AZ now. I have that wedding to go to on Saturday and a charity golf (read booze) outing on Tuesday. I am not drinking at either - I'd just as soon hit myself in the head with a hammer than drink again.
PJ, good luck with your elbow device. Nice to see you actually got some response from your efforts.
Be good everyone - BBG, I am very hungry now

Another night of broken sleep. This freakin cough just will not go away! I don’t know how smokers do it! My dad used to hack all night before he quit.
Well the coffee will be flowing today! If only my kids didn’t get up at the crack of dawn 😡 you’re homeschoolers dang it, sleep in!

BBG, that AV is just a spoiled brat. You are the boss.
PR, I get so cranky when I don't sleep well - which is more often than I'd like. Maybe you can squeeze in a quick nap? Not sure how feasible that is with the kids around.

YESTERDAY'S BAGGAGE
For the wise have always known that no one can make much of his life until self-searching becomes a regular habit, until he is able to admit and accept what he finds, and until he patiently and persistently tries to correct what is wrong.
— TWELVE STEPS AND TWELVE TRADITIONS, p. 88
I have more than enough to handle today, without dragging along yesterday's baggage too. I must balance today's books, if I am to have a chance tomorrow. So I ask myself if I have erred and how I can avoid repeating that particular behavior. Did I hurt anyone, did I help anyone, and why? Some of today is bound to spill over into tomorrow, but most of it need not if I make an honest daily inventory.
