Riser sprints
Kb deadlifts
Ball planks
Db floor chest presses
Heavy ropes
TRX upright rows

After that it was two rounds of:

Ab wheel rollouts
Bicycles

Safe to say I'm done exercising for the day with the exception of a short walk to dinner tonight with my wife. It's our anniversary which I mentioned a couple of days ago after I successfully completed a frantic search for a present.
Happy Anniversary, GC and Mrs. GC.

Thank you SL.

We had a very nice anniversary dinner at an eclectic restaurant in town. Nothing on the menu is straightforward and many offerings include ingredients that most people, including me and my wife, wouldn't know. Our food choices were delicious and the place was packed so it appears they're going to be around for a while and I would go back again.

Today

I think it's just going to be me and my son for dinner; if so I'm thinking of making shrimp with sautéed spinach served over homemade Old Bay infused egg pasta.

Exercise for the day is going to be a short run. For some reason I've been feeling some faint shin splints in my right shin; it's very disturbing because I haven't been doing much running and if it continues it could be a detriment to me upping my mileage and actually becoming a runner (jogger really) again.

As often happens last night our dinner plans changed and my son and I went out with the women of the family and my daughter's boyfriend to dinner. Tonight it's definitely just me and my wife and after two nights of restaurant meals we'll be dining at home. I recently came back from the market with some swordfish steaks that I'm going to grill and serve that with roasted chickpeas and garlic and a garden salad. In other food news yesterday I smoked a couple of pounds of cheese, half Monterey pepper jack and half semi sharp cheddar.

This mornings fun at the gym was four rounds of:

TRX rows
Dynamic step ups
Rower
Drop dead pushups
Jump squats
Heavy ropes

My breathing was a bit of a problem, so instead of going for a short run I walked into town with my wife.

Sunday morning fun. Four rounds of:

Dynamic step ups
Bosu ball pushups with leg thrusts
TRX tabletop rows
Heavy ropes
Kb deadlifts
Forward box runs
Db squat presses

My sister invited us for dinner tonight at a local restaurant and we graciously accepted. :-) She arranged it with the my kids and I'm not sure how this came to be other than wanting to get together and she doesn't cook; it's a vegetarian place that uses a lot of soy products to replicate animal based protein tastes.

I was without power for a solid portion of the day, but we're back to being able to live in the 21st century so all is good.

Three rounds of:

Incline bench presses
Pullups
TRX table top rows
Standing Db shoulder presses
Pushups
Standing Bb curls
Decline pushups
TRX mid rows

It was hard for me to get dressed afterward.

Dinner tonight is going to involve a pork tenderloin and a salad.

Dinner, as always, sounds great, GC.

Have you ever had shin splints?

Has the pollen count started to be measurable?

Thanks; fortunately it was out for too long.

I don't know, but I've taken my first solid step toward going to a new pulmonologist. The husband of a workout friend is a pediatric pulmonologist and I'll be making an appointment with the doctor he recommends his older patients to.

Today

Four rounds of fun this AM:

Dynamic step ups
Rower
Alternating side planks
Standing Db presses
Kb lateral lunges
Mountain climbers
TRX table top rows

In between each round we did:

Jump squats
High planks with hip touches

Dinner tonight is going to be roasted chicken leg quarters slightly seasoned with a mild curry sauce and the sides will be a salad and brown rice.

I went for a 2 mile run this morning. No pace data.

Tonight is the first night of Passover and we're going to a friend's house for the seder. I was tasked with bringing a veggie dish and I'll be making chipotle smashed yams.

I know it's spring because I can read a calendar. I know yesterday was Easter Sunday and it was sunny and about 60F with nary a cloud in the sky. I also know that today we got seven inches of snow so I had some bonus exercise this morning before going to the gym in the form of shoveling. Ugh! At the gym I did three rounds of:

Db goblet squats
Kb deadlifts
Flat bench Bb bench presses
Flat bench Bb skullcrushers
Lat pulldowns
Pushups
Standing Bb curls
Planks
Bicycles
Leg raises
Crunches

We have leftovers from our Seder as well as food we took from my SIL's so tonight we'll be having a variety of leftovers.

I walked about 3 miles today so far; first to breakfast with a friend and from there to do an errand. I also plan on doing a short run this afternoon.

Dinner tonight is going to cauliflower chicken stir fry using the chicken that was the basis of Saturday's matzo ball soup.

I had a resoundingly lousy workout this morning. Something is going on, sort of like what happened about a month ago, and I was asleep by 5 PM. Definitely not normal and while I felt better upon waking I knew I wasn't 100%. As bad as I was at the gym I'm glad I went because even a lousy workout is better than nothing.

Dinner tonight is going to be a chicken stir fry, using the chicken I didn't cook last night, with cauliflower rice.

Redemption, it's a wonderful concept. As previously written yesterday's workout was lousy, but today's was on the opposite end of the spectrum. :claphigh:

Four rounds of:

Turkish getups
Burpees
High plank around the worlds
Db single arm chest presses while on a stability ball
Duffel bag cleans and squats
Db 2 point rows
Mountain climbers

Dinner tonight is going to be a top round that I'll sous vide then reverse sear on my kamado cooker. I'm going to serve that with a mushroom sauce as well as a garden salad.
