Checking in on day 3. I’m still ill and feverish and sadly I have to go to work today. I was going to call in sick yesterday but I thought I would feel much better today and now it’s too late. Ah well. It’s only for five hours so hopefully I will survive. Merry Christmas to you all

Happy Christmas Eve everyone. I'm feeling a bit restless because I don't have any plans for the holiday, but I might go to the coast with sis today. I need to count my blessings instead of feeling sorry for myself. I really do want to drink, but I won't.
As I was writing this, I got a Merry Christmas Eve text from my ex which is really random because we never talk really. Kind of annoying. He's actually the one who got me really into drinking whiskey so I associate him with that. Anyway...

Merry Christmas all! No plans today except a long walk. Yesterday I went up to the Sonoma coast with my sister and did some hiking. It was a lot of driving, but it was nice. On Thursday I plan to go to Santa Cruz (cute coastal town where I used to live) to see a friend. Other than that, I plan to relax and recover. Luckily, I do feel a lot better lately so that is its own Christmas miracle! Hopefully my lab tests tomorrow will show improvement.

Just home, had the most awesome Christmas. Sober. Wow. I think we only have nine posts to go before we get to part 5 folks, so get posting! Leana, is Santa Cruz where the lost boys was filmed? My daughter deliberately made it part of their US road trip for that very reason I think. So that's Christmas done, New Year is a very big deal here in the west coast of Scotland and it's all about the bevvy I'm afraid. But I'm ready for it, let's bring in the bells for 2018 with a nice wee mineral water!

Hey guys, I hope your Christmases were awesome
Just wanted to be honest & say that I drank the night of Christmas Eve.....someone at work set off a trigger that day and I let it get to me. Stupid excuse, I know. Day 2 back on the horse!
