Hi,
I'm checking in for my next 24! My hubby and the band are playing up in our local mountains tonight. Which means he'll be on the Freeways after the bars are closed, so extra prayers tonight.

The photo of me was taken in Dorado, Puerto Rico. We flew home September 3rd, before the first Hurricane. Then Maria hit the Island !! We vacationed in PR last year at the same time, but in Fajardo. It just breaks our heart.

I just got married as well....literally last Sunday....to a fellow SR that I met right here on this thread.
Neither of us ever thought we'd stop drinking and have an opportunity to truly live....but here we are....
We do this together.

Hi Efra,
Something I've heard in my meetings, applies to what you wrote. Basically here it is : We judge our insides on what we see in other's Outsides.

A forest is full of many different kinds of trees--they are all sizes and shapes and shades of color. It is hard to imagine a pine tree wishing it was an oak. Or a fir tree envying the birch its white bark. Instead, each tree catches raindrops and reflects the sunshine in its own way.
We often find ourselves envying someone else. We think they have more money or more friends. We see them as better looking or luckier in some way than we are.
It is so easy to overlook our own gifts when we do this. We get fooled by what looks good and forget that all human beings have some weaknesses and pain, just like we do.
