24 Hour Recovery Connection Part 298
21 months! I am very honored to share this celebration with so many other members. Lots of time up on thT Board tonight.
Special shout out to Bandi, my sober twin/soul sister. Also, to Jeni, she and I took. Long journey to get where we are today, but it must have been the journey we were meant to follow, and I am proud of us both.
Cold fusion, one more month to 5 years, that will call for a. If celebration.
Have a fantastic night everyone!
❤️Delilah

Hi all just coming up to 4 weeks. I had really bad cravings for alcohol last night. I didn't succumb but they were really powerful. I've been doing all the right things and sticking like glue to my plan but these came out of the blue. I ran a bath and my PJs on and then ate tons of food. It passed but I can't get too complacent...another 24 for me please.

Hi Bobbi,
Thank you for your love and support! I just shared the abridged version of my story with my online college class. I'm enrolled in theology classes, and this particular class is about missionary work. We are studying the missionaries who overcame very tough obstacles in order to spread the Gospel. The professor asked us, if were willing to, share a personal story of an obstacle we have overcome that might be used to bring hope to another. I chose my substance abuse, and the pitfalls of my past choices.
Then I shared the fact that I got sober, began building a new life, enrolled in college, and am working toward a better future. This telling of my story, albeit the short version, reminded me of the mountains I've had to climb, and that I've come too far to give up now.
My story reminded me that it is far easier to continue on in the journey of recovery than it is to go back to the torture that I once lived. I am blessed to have realized that I am an alcoholic, and blessed to be able to recover from the disease.
Thank you for being my source of hope. Without you and all of those I meet in recovery, I would surely have never found the solution, and thus forever stuck living in the problem.

So very proud of you, Dane!
Fantastic list of milestoners today!! Congratulations to each and every one of you inspirational and awesome people xx
Hope your mood lifts Jo. You're doing everything you can to see off that depression. Stay strong. And enjoy the netball and shopping!
8.55am and I'm organising homework hour at the kitchen table... helping the kids get their homework out of the way so they can chill out for the rest of Sunday. I'm learning loads, it's incredible - all the stuff I don't know. Today I'm learning about Peru. What an amazing place. Maybe one day I'll go there. For now I'll have 24 more hours of cosy, calm sobriety please. Love to everyone xxx

“And once the storm is over, you won’t remember how you made it through, how you managed to survive. You won’t even be sure, whether the storm is really over. But one thing is certain. When you come out of the storm, you won’t be the same person who walked in.”
7:30am in Alberta, it's going to be a darn good day not to drink!
24 for me, and everyone else who needs them please, and thanks..
