I have a gruelling work and family commitment schedule this week. Rather than try and battle through it with the risk of super high stress and trigger alerts I have taken today off work. My mother is in hospital so I reckon my sanity comes first followed by family. Work can do without me for one day and it will mean I can do the 14 hour shift on Thursday. Its a pacing myself week with the next 24 being sober mx |

That sounds smart Martina. I wish your mother a speedy recovery xx Thanks for the new thread Dee and I love the quote about the river. Good to read that quote because I'm always rushing around. And sometimes I rush around so much I find myself in a room and I know I came into the room for a reason but I just find myself standing in the middle of the room thinking, 'what the heck did I come in here for?' Does this happen to anyone else?? Really hope it's not just me! So yeah, I need to remember to be like a river and know that there's no hurry.... I'll get there one day. My kids on the other hand.... They need to start moving. They're less like a river and more like a stagnant swamp. All 4 of them are lazing around, watching TV and chatting to the dog. We need to get to school!!! And I wanted to say thank you to everyone who sent best wishes to my daughter for her operation on Thursday. I've just read all the gorgeous messages on the old thread. You guys really are the best. My daughter, like me, loves mindfulness and I think that's been really keeping us calm. She seems fine about the surgery and if she can be brave, so can I. There's definitely a little magic in mindfulness and a ton of magic on this thread. Love you all xxxx |

Morning all! 24 more for me absolutely please! The little mini pink cloud I was on has dissolved somewhat thanks to my passive aggressive ex husband. He's a joy stealer. But hey.......I have my sobriety my beautiful girls and 2 healthy parents. Reality check Jojo all is well get out of your pity pit!
