You have a lot going on, and staying sober is enough right now. It is very difficult when our parents get sick. I am not there for the day-day with my mom because she is so far, but I have been flying home every two months or so, and talk to her every day.
I am glad you are there for your mom. Lots of love coming your way, please don't forget to take time for you as well. It is important.

Hello again,
Just took myself off work for the next couple of days. I pushed through Monday and Tuesday there, but just can't do it. Not sleeping for days, and am literally worried sick. Loved ones come first, always. We're always expected to push through but I am not a machine. I am barely into recovery. I did the right thing. Going to be there for my sweet mother. Today I will pull myself together and tomorrow I will be with her and Dad. Thinking of how I can help her.

(((Red))) that sounds like the perfect plan. You don't want to make yourself poorly by trying to do too much. A bit of relaxation, meditation perhaps and some lovely healthy food and fresh air. Those are the recommendations of doctor Jojo for today! Oh yeah and this:

You're positive words are 💜! I'm trying and starting to see things as opportunities and not hardships. Trying to change the way I think. Not easy. It makes a difference if I say "I get to look for a job" vs "I have to look for a job.". One word different but SO different. My self talk needs to change!
