I'm glad your presentation went well Courage. When are you flying back to NYC?

Good news about Fran FBL!

You certainly had a productive day Glee.

Best wishes for a good day all!

I'm flying back in a few hours. I liked the cicadas, but what does it mean when the highlight of a trip is the bugs?

Good news about Fran, FBL!

Have a great day, everyone.

Fran has been bouncing back and forth between the ICU and her regular room. Her breathing tube keeps getting clogged. Not much can be done, other than clearing it when it happens. We're all praying that this clears up soon.

Have a great weekend, all!

Best to Fran, FBL.

I'll put some time in to catch up tonight or tomorrow.

We, Tampa region, dodged a bullet. Lots of prep and were very, very lucky. I was so worried about the projected surge and flooding, yet, it never happened. Don't get me wrong...it was bad, just far short of the complete devastation that a cat 3 or 4 would have brought.

I got power back Thursday night. Wow, did I miss the AC for sleeping, lights and hot showers and coffee. It will be quite some time until all is normal again...but, it's getting better every day.

I've been soooo busy with work. We have 4 major jobs that we inked this week, two with the Tampa Airport, Sarasota Schools and a hotel in Daytona. I worked Tuesday thru Friday from like 6AM till like 8PM every day with only two gym classes mixed in.

Today I am finally going to clean my house and take the storm shutters down. Already went for a haircut, my barber opens at 6AM. Now off to get an oil change and two gym classes...afterthe gym, I hired a young hs kid to assist at the house.

Arizona went to Alabama for the hurricane and just returned. She has a beautiful house on the water and was expecting it to be near ruined. Seems there was some minor damage and no flooding - woohoo! We are doing a beach day tomorrow with wave splashing, long beach walk and Rumikube.

Hope all are doing well... Welcome home from wherever, Cour.

Talk soon - Carlos

Wow, Carlos!

I'm glad your house is still OK--glad there's no flooding--although being without power that long doesn't seem like any fun!

Pleased to hear that you are apparently a catalyst for success at work! I just hope that the pace levels off soon.

Have a fun day with AZ!

I'm continuing to pray for Fran, FBL.

I'm glad to hear that you survived relatively unscathed Carlos. My St. Pete's folks were expecting major damage and were very fortunate to avoid the storm surges that were forecast. Hopefully, all will return to normal shortly.

I'm glad you got off safely in the storm, Carlos.

I miss you here, Deliza. If you're lurking, please come out.

I do believe I'm a little depressed. All I seem to do is sleep and I kind of would rather be dead, although I have no desire to do anything about it. Part of it was that damn trip; I never should go to the midwest, plus see people I knew before. And then yesterday I had a call from someone who literally told me that if I didn't do X, at least 2 people maybe more would lose their jobs. And X isn't even completely within my control, but without me it won't get started. In the old days, I often felt everyone wanted a piece of me. This feeling isn't that bad, but it's a little like that. Where's a mental hidey-hole?

Just the mopes. No worries -- this passes.

I hope Fran does better.

Hope your Dr's appts go well, GG. Apple, cat and well, sweet potato.

I'm with Cour, it's probs a too many balls thing.

((Cour)), sorry you are being pressured and having a bad mental health thing going on. Yep, you're right...they pass.

Okay, what were those three things in my second sentence...don't look back.

Star, hope the work thing eases up. How the heck can you keep that up?

Del, what's up...time for a check in.

You too, Glee.

It was nice to get sooo many personal things accomplished today. Cannot wait for my beach day tomorrow with AZ. Monday is back to the craziness that Irma brought the business and all the scrambling of things that requires. I told the dude I work for that I make more decisions an hour now than I made in most days for the past many years. It's fun for now...but, I still keep my eye on trying to achieve middle of the road.

Last laundry load dry now and it includes my bedding. However, the previous load had the BED SKIRT - how I would like to get my hands on the inventor of that stupid contraption!

Night, all...netflix, then zzzz'ville.

I hope that getting back home puts you in a better frame of mind Courage. I really don't enjoy the traveling for work thing at all, and am fortunate that I seldom have to do it. It just wears me out mentally and emotionally.

Enjoy your beach day Carlos.

Del, what's up?

Have a good day all!

I've been wildly busy. I have been "on" with guests for about two weeks straight.

I can't wait till every other human being is OUT of this house and I can just set my own pace and breathe!

I start my new class tomorrow. I'm ready.

(((Courage)))

Weekend w family. Monster truck show, panned for gold (found some)!!!
Helped inlaws move. Got 19 yr old looking for a job. Lost his. ( think that's a positive thing), and we're just doing best we can. Wife's down- she's always down, but I'm keeping on, keeping on. Long next workweek, shorthanded, so my mind should stay elsewhere, much as possible. In my heads, not where I want to stay this week. Kids were out all week because of storm damage. This week is fall break. Not making meetings. Just can't get there.
It ok. Easy does it ( I hope)

Sounds like you're handling what life manages to throw at you, JL.

I hope this week brings you serenity.

I *so* love that you pan for gold, JL. That's got to be a metaphor for something.

Lol
We use to say kids picking their noses were " digging for gold" !
Haha. Nope. 7$ plastic pan, in a creek that I think is kinda not known for " gold".
I might be onto something. I just noticed the stuff few yrs ago while waterfall hunting w the kids.
Probly a load of iron pyrite ! Haha
