Right you are, Ralphy boy. Congrats, FBL.

Del, congrats on the favorable outcome with your son. Good stuff!

Hi, Dee.

Nice date with IL last night. She lives her life as close to being in the beam as possible. That's hot!

Have a good one, POST's.

FBL, congrats on 100 months!! That is truly incredible.

Carlos, is your use of "John" the same as the Philly "Jawn" that is a grab bag word in overuse here by everyone under thirty?

Del, welcome back! We saved you a chair, right by the kitchen sink.

Going to have some coffee, then investigate issues with my septic sand mound leaking. Hopefully, it will be a simple fix and not something that keeps my kids from college.

Enjoy the day all!

Just got off a medcall at work. Older adult with a just-broken hip. My ears are ringing from the pain induced yelling. ((((Ears)))))

Feeling miserable. Slept more or less till 12:30 in the afternoon. Sinuses in very bad shape: lots of headache plus congestion in my nose and lungs.

Just from one night with A/C during the change of seasons!

Still trying to catch up on Greek workbook exercises to try to grasp grammar categories. The professor said he’d send me the answer keys.

I just have an hour’s worth of work to go, then I’m going to have some chicken broth and watch movies all night till I crash.

God I used to stay sickly from drinking. Just now considered that.

I've been troubled all weekend by some proposed changes at my institution. If passed, I'll be ashamed to work there. And I think they will pass. Except at the elite schools, higher ed is condensing, conforming, standardizing, going online, and otherwise crushing whatever hope there is for intellectual vitality in American schooling.

Some of my colleagues say they don't see the 'use' or 'need' for deep learning in a content area. Things that aren't necessary for basic functionality should be excised. I feel, literally, like a tool.

Wow. I’m sorry, Cour. Does this mean that they’re going to eliminate some entire departments?

Isn't everything budgetary? But our budget outlook isn't bad, so it's something else, too, coming from the state, I think.

They're cutting courses and "restructuring" departments.
