I'm new here, so if this is old news or not in an appropriate thread, forgive me. If it works, the link above is to the Sixx A.M. Song "Maybe it's Time." I like it, and like much of their music (for obvious reasons, if you know the Nikki Sixx story), it's pertinent to the topic of recovery/addiction.

I was lucky enough to meet him along with my then 12 year old son, and it gave me and my son a chance to talk about the damage that addiction brings; maybe because of that talk, and probably at least partially from meeting Nikki and knowing his story, at 19, I'm quite sure that my son has never tried drugs nor had a single drink.

Have a nice night. Going to bed sober for the 48th straight night! Congrats to all the milestoners.
What a fantastic meeting for you and your son, CrossMyHeart! What an impact that meeting must have had on your son.

Thank you so much for sharing that story.

I am looking forward to checking out the link!

The Cross Country coach said my daughter will probably run Varsity as a Freshman, which is pretty awweoms, then she came in a few minutes ago and was talking about the pathways her school offers, and said she is thinking about engineering or sports medicine (Pathways start Sophomore year.) My other daughter kiled it on opening night, and they only had six weeks of rehearsal for this show. She is currently in two shows, so theater pretty much dominates her social life (and mine!) My son is playing in a tournament this weekend, so it will be a fun way to kick off soccer season.

Hope everyone had a fantastic day, I felt like it was Friday all day, and was very disappointed when I realized it was only Thursday!! TGTIF (Thank God Tomorrow is Friday!!)

Thanks for making such a positive contribution to our group!

Lovely advice, Delilah.

Love to you, dearest 1new.

Just to share my little cover story. I am open in my struggle with anxiety and depression and so have told friends/colleagues that alcohol has started to give me chronic anxiety and I can't cope with it so I have given it up. No one has batted an eyelid and in fact one of my mates at work has gone sober too and she's not even an alkie!
Antibiotic s is great for tonight though Nic the rest will come when you're ready.
Take care
Great that one of your coworkers has gone sober, too. Anxiety and alcohol together create such hopeless cycle!

Thank you Suze for keeping us all straight!! You are amazing...

I'm biking 20 miles this morning to celebrate 20 months of freedom! Had a pedi last night so my feets is good to go
I love waking up with a clear head and aside from age related arthritis my body is surprisingly healthy after 30-plus years of alcohol abuse.

Thank you SR for being the wind beneath my wings!
Wishing everyone a nice sober day or night.....xxxx
Have a lovely day, bandi, and a wonderful bike ride!!!! Wow, 20 miles
