Snufkin that's so cool! I've been trying to wake up my creative side & it's motivating to see others using their skills. Good for you!

Aw thank you!! Yeah illustration, doodling and tattoos is pretty much what keeps me going I can't believe how close I was to giving up everything I enjoy just to get miserably drunk each day. I'm only 22 days sober (my record for the last few years) but it already feels like I'm living a different life. I really want to stay that way.

Hi everyone,
Day 15
I was at my parents house at 1pm to meet the cable guy to change out the boxes. He was supposed to be there between 1-3 and showed up at 4:24pm and left at 7:20. It wasn't a big deal I just kept thinking about all the stuff I need to do and couldn't do any of it. The good part is it is done, and I got to sleep in until 11:00am

I had lots of thoughts of drinking today but I made it home and I am drinking a cherry lemonade. I need to make changes somewhere but just grateful I didn't drink.

I hope everyone is having a good weekend

Good morning everyone. It's just after 7 o'clock on a Sunday morning and it's so wonderful to be up and about, hangover and anxiety free. Sober weekends will never get old!

Ditto what Vman said about everyone racking up days, it's great to see. Enjoy your week with your daughter V.

I have another busy day lined up, off to the gym for a bit first of all. I have to do something with this new found energy. Hope everyone is having a good weekend and staying strong and safe.

Day 15

Good morning! Very early in the morning of day 15. I am feeling really good about not drinking. No hangover mornings are great! I try to hold on to that when those thoughts come in my head that I can just have one. Yesterday was tough...my daughter is visiting from out of town and we normally have a few drinks together. I explained to her that I had a bad episode a few weeks ago and that I feel better overall when I don't drink. She said she was proud of me. Last night my husband, my daughter and I went to a local bar/establishment to watch the fight. It was chalkenging but I made it through. I kept telling myself that I was feeling good, that the calories would kill my weight loss effort and that I wanted to wake up this morning with no hangover and able to add another day to my count. Instead of alcohol I drank diet soda. Overall I am feeling better. My head is clear, the scale is starting to come down finally. I do feel a lot of emotions and am feeling a lot of stress and anxiety. I haven't been handling the stress and anxiety that well. For now I am going to keep doing what I'm doing. Hope you all have a great sober day!

Day 8. It's been a while since I've put together over a week, so I'm happy to be here. I've been battling some anxiety and brain fog, but overall I'm feeling better. One day at a time. I'm staying sober today.

Keep racking up the days, everyone, and enjoy your Sunday

Hey good morning team! Great to wake up guilt and anxiety free, really wish I could bottle this feeling and pull it out every time the AV makes a beer sound harmless. Yesterday afternoon was very tough, intense temptation. I paused, read posts, watched sobriety videos on you tube and it passed. Such a strange thing to battle yourself and your own mind.. Boy is it worth it though.

Great chill in the air, coffee in hand and fun plans for the day ahead. Much love to all you guys, keep pushing forward! Eye on the prize.

Question

Just a question- is the "class of" the month you quit drinking?
I'm still learning the site and not sure if that's what it references!!!

Just back from a 160 mile round trip to pick up my daughter from her weekend away with my mum. Set off at 8am this morning and missed the traffic. I wouldn't have been able to do this a couple of weeks ago as 8am on a Sunday morning would have seen me still over the limit to drive.

Morning everyone. I'm not feeling so good today. I'm nervous & anxious for no particular reason and my AV is a bit like, you need to calm down, have a beer... but I am NOT going to drink today! I'm so thankful for all your posts, reading your stories and daily accomplishments helps a lot.

Congratulations on day 16 SoberBlondie!! That's awesome!!
