Good morning everyone! Just checking in before I head to my Friday therapy session. Yesterday was really busy! I just feel like I can never get caught up on anything! It's the never-ending "To-do list"! But I have to keep reminding myself that the MOST important thing I accomplish each day is to stay sober! My AV has tried to screw with me several times this week and I've told the old HAG to take a hike!

It's the start of a bank holiday weekend here in England and I'll be home alone all weekend as my daughter had gone away for the weekend with my mum. This will be a big test for me as this would have previously given me a green card to drink to excess all weekend and no-one would even know. Fortunately, the weather forecast is good so I will busy myself with gardening.

Good morning class! Quick check in before I run my kids to school.

Tonight is my Set Free meeting at my church. It'll be the 2nd time going and I've been looking forward to it all week. I've been having some anxiety and some of my OCD thoughts have been showing up (irrational fear of illness, most notably the stomach bug), but I'm trying to manage both of these with prayer, meditation, and breathing exercises. So far, so good. I'm really wanting to avoid any medications.

I have not been tempted AT ALL to drink. Haven't even thought about it. I'm very grateful for that. I am still smoking however, so I need to set a plan in motion to quit that.

Hello everyone. It's good to see that everyone is doing so well. Day 4 and I am a lot better. Yesterday I only had a fleeting thought about drinking. I'm now trying to cut down on smoking because that's where all my money is going. Welcome to the newbies.

Hi everyone. It's quiet here today. I hope everyone is doing ok. I've been fighting off cravings ALL day! At one point I was driving alone in my car and I just screamed at the top of my lungs "I AM NOT DRINKING TODAY!!!!!!!!!" It worked! I haven't had a drop! It's hard though. I can't wait til it gets easier. It will....

Tired here too, had a wonderful day in spite of the fact that it rained all day. Thank you America for the concept of indoor shopping malls! I am not grumbling about the rain, I hope all my friends here are safe from the extreme weather expected in the States.

It will get easier kiki. Well done for staying strong.

Morning all

Made it through another Friday night danger zone and enjoyed another deep and unbroken sleep. I'd forgotten what proper sleep is like. I used to blame the dog for disturbing me in the night but I think it was probably the other way around.

I've booked a yoga class for this morning (never done yoga before but I thought I'd give it a try). I'll let you know how it goes.
