Hey everyone. Today turned out to be not that bad. I walked the dog, went to acupuncture, and went to a meeting. I had a killer headache throughout all of it, but I got through it. I feel fortunate that I'm able to access affordable acupuncture. I'm trying to more grateful.

Purplrks - congrats on getting a gym routine going. Let us know how the mediation goes. I need to do more of both.

Morning all. Back to work after a very lazy weekend.
I need to get my gym routine going. Perhaps today is a good day to start

Good morning all. Purps I will check out your thread after work this evening, I've found meditation to be very useful but don't know an awful lot about chakras. Leana, glad you had a better day.

I'm heading off to work, have a fab Monday folks!

Morning all. Its a public holiday and a wonderful spring day where I am. I have not been on here for a while, and enjoyed a quick update by reading through your posts for the past two weeks or so. I am grateful to report that I am still sober, and will hopefully get to 3 months in about 2 weeks from now. This has been so worth it, that I completely treasure my sobriety now.

Welcome back CaptainHaddock! Keep up the good work.

I had a very intense, lucid drinking dream last night. I went to a house party and felt really awkward and ended up drinking straight vodka. It was a lucid dream because I had the thought "if this is a dream, I will be relieved." But then I had the thought "If it's not a dream, I don't really care because I'm really enjoying this vodka and I'm over being sober." I had a lot of drinking dreams during the first 3 weeks of sobriety but I was always extremely relieved when I realized it was a dream. This change in tone makes me wonder where my head is at. I don't have the desire to drink, but I'm feeling a lot of apathy about my recovery.

In other news, I have the day off today and I'm going to the doc about my headaches and then acupuncture and therapy. It's definitely a self-care day, but I have to fit in some chores as well. Yawn.

Really pleased to see you back Captain. I've missed you.

Good job on keeping sober.

Managed an hours bikeride after work - feeling a bit tired, but happy.

Hope you make some progress Leana - could the acupuncturist help as well?

An hour bike ride - that's impressive and inspiring. Nice work tea.

Yes, acupuncture definitely helps but I think I will need to go daily for a few more days to see results. The quality and intensity of these headaches is like nothing I've ever experienced before. The community acupuncture place I go to also offers $10 ear treatments for those recovering from addiction. I'm very lucky to have them so close by.

Off to my doctor appointment. I'm sure I won't get any answers today but at least she can rule things out and I can get going with a neurologist referral.

Hope everyone is having a fantastic day!

Leana I hope your appointment went well

It's good to see you all here Sorry I'm not very good at individual posts.....

I'm such a dork....the thread I started is in the "Fitness Health & Nutrition" forum, not Café Central. Sorry about that.....not much there yet anyway since I'm still really new at learning about the Chakras. My favorite rockstar does Chakra meditation so that's what sparked my interest.....yeah I'm a little crazy about him!

Thanks for asking Purps. My appointment went OK. She ruled out neurological issues. She thinks the headaches are from discontinuing the Ambien but that doesn't explain why I keep having them even though I started the Ambien again. I've done acupuncture 3 days in a row and again tomorrow so hopefully that helps. She gave me Norco which I was concerned about taking but I'm really in a great deal of pain. I'm taking it as prescribed.

Morning all

A busy day for me today. That's good though. Less chance for mischief.
I'm glad you went to the doc leana. Sounds like she has a grip
On what is going on.
Hopefully as you pull clear of the ambien the headaches will stop

Morning all, nice to see you post Captain, we missed you!

Can't stay long, just wanted to check in and say I hope everyone has a fantastic Tuesday. Hectic week for me with no let up till Thursday, I agree with you tea, less chance for mischief but in the past a definite trigger for 'I deserve a drink when this week is over' for me. Not this time, I deserve so much more than sitting by myself getting morose and plastered.

Have a great day folks

Hey good morning team! busy beyond belief here and let my check ins slip. I am feeling spread a bit thin, I think it is time for some healthy down time. Even just a sleep in and a walk in nature would be perfect. Gotta make that happen.

Much love gang, have a wonderful day!

Morning! Deter, definitely get that down time sorted and enjoy it! Tyger, well done you on both counts, new job and one month, wonderful! Vman, keep your cybergerms to yourself please, there's loads of stuff going around at work and so far I've managed to avoid it thankfully. 😊

Congrats Tyger! Well done friend. Thanks lily, I may work from home a few days, I think that would help.

Hope you feel better vman.

Russell brand has a new recovery book coming out. I will check it out, those types of books are helpful I think.

Have a great day team!
