Give your babies lots of hugs and tell them that you are sorry. Children are very forgiving.

Sometimes a change in bedtime routine worked to quiet my kids - if I offered to read them 3 books instead of two if they were quiet; if I offered to play a bedtime guessing game after prayers if they settled down.
