week 14

It's pretty hard the period from 3 months to 6 months - and the world seems crazy at the mo (which does not help)

Not every day, and only for a few minutes when it does happen, the acute withdrawal and craving is horrible - just have to wait out the pain

I'm selling some of my stuff to simplify my life - I got £1.99 for a fur coat on eBay... I just put up a designer leather jacket for sale - so I will probably get tuppence for it (everybody is broke in Britain)

Anyway, well done if you are not rolling about drunk covered in vomit

week 15

looks like this is the end of this thread - I'll move to the 'under one year' thread (as I still need a bit of support)

Anyway - thanks for the cheer and a few laughs :-)

I've been a coward but have finally revealed myself back to the forum. I was praying that Jen had continued her excellent work and was immensely pleased she has. I'm still not in a great place but will reconnect properly when I know I will. Thank you so much to Susiegirl who has been messaging me throughout to get me back on track. I know I'm almost there.

Well done also to hns, WME and Redcardid on all your continued hard work. I admire you all and i will be back.

Thank you so much Dee. I know that by coming back here I know what I want, I just can't quite reconnect the wires that know I function better sober.

Don;t over think it, Getting sober is a doing action IMO - the thinking comes in the staying sober bit.

I have no doubt you can do this Sean

Hi! Haven't been in here for some time as I have been checking in with the 24 gang.

Welcome back Sean! Great to hear from you again. Sorry I didn't post before now but I only just popped back in here tonight. Look forward to seeing you back here soon.

Hope everyone else is still doing ok.

Jen.

Hi everyone. It feels good to greet my original class again. I'm one month dry today for the first time in about 15 years. I had a good attitude when I joined this class but I wasn't truly ready to stay off booze forever, I think. I am now, and things are going really well.

Best wishes to all of you. The thread may be quiet these days, but I'll always have my happy memories of when we started. Thank you one and all.

Hey class, I haven't been posting in here as I've mostly posted in the class of September, but wanted to check in with my originals .

Jen- I'm so happy to see you're still here and the days are still adding up.. you're an inspiration.

Rubaduck- congrats on 30! I was thinking about you last time I checked in on here.. so happy you're doing well!

Sean- So great to see you check in too. I know it's SO hard to convince the mind to get sober again after a relapse... but it's totally worth it after you do. I know you remember that, and I'm rooting for you!

Redcard- 15 weeks! Wow! Great job.. I hope you continue to pop in here every once in a while too.

Sunshine- how are you doing?

How was Thanksgiving for everyone? I've had some REALLY difficult things come up in my life lately, but still counting days- 86 today to be exact. The thought of drinking has crossed my mind more than once so I'm trying to check in multiple places.

Hi hns, good to hear from you again!

Well done on the 86 days! Or 87 today. Not far to go till the big 100.

We don't have thanksgiving here but xmas is rearing its head around the corner. Just preparing for December at the moment (which is basically a month long trigger). I hit the 5 month mark at the end of this week though so I'm a bit less likely to fall.

Keep doing what you are doing - its working!

"Newcomer" to the July 2017 class

Hi all! I've been sober since July 2, 2017 but haven't posted in our class group yet. I've mainly been posting in the Newcomers forum. It will be nice to post here too.

I'm headed toward 6 months sober and anniversaries like this make me nervous but not near as scary as the thought of drinking! I'm not going back.

I've started AA and it's been a turning point for me.

Thinking of all of you as we stay sober today!

Hello and welcome Sportsfan!

We share the same sober date! My first ever time entering the 6th month.

Hope to catch up with you soon, and anyone else from the class. Keep going all!

Hey everyone,

If our thread fades away, I wanted to be the last poster! I tried checking out the activity from a lot of people we started with, it looks like the majority have left the site altogether. Hopefully that means they are on the path and have moved on. I'm over three months now, so I guess you're over six months.

I do miss you all and wish you the very best in life.

Peace out,

Rubaduck

If you (or anyone else is) looking for support or a new home Rubaduck there's always the One Year and Under thread

Thanks Dee,

This was my first home. I've been in Class of October, but will always have a soft spot for my original class!
