Checking in again--feeling a bit crossways and off. I am doing a bit too much too soon--going to slow down a bit and enjoy sobriety and you lovely people. It's like I run around in this big hurry all the time. Anyone else? I was super impatient while drinking so maybe this is just another habit. Yeah, it is.
The eclipse was pretty cool even as a partial--very eerie dim greenish light, and a gentle cool breeze breaking up a murderously hot August Monday afternoon. If I live another seven years I will see a total without traveling. Need to stay sober. Normally, today would have been a good excuse to drink but I really, really enjoyed it sober. I felt very awake and clear-headed. Good experience.
So good to be sober with all of you. Going to hang out for a couple hours and read here. I might read several of your posts. You're an excellent writer! All of you.

Must have missed eclipse dear SL coz didn't know twas happening earlier today so guess that's not even going into bucket list if that infrequent

First day of school for my kids today. It was good to be aware, sober and taking care of them when they arrived home. They were so exhausted and hungry. And....a lotta paperwork to sign!
Gratefully thank God for today. And if it isn't too much trouble, I'd like to see tomorrow with eyes wide open.
It's 8 pm here in San Diego.
