Ready for fun!
Sitting here on the balcony of our hotel, looking out at the lake and the sand dunes just on the other side. Precious grandson is still sleeping, but when he wake, dune riding we will go!!
I am so blessed to have this time to enjoy a mini-vacation with my grandsons. Later today, we'll head to Mackinac Island for 3 glorious nights and meet my older grandson and his girlfriend on the island.
How awesome to be sober and not have to think about where I'll have to sneak out to get a drink. And, no hangovers!!!!
Sketchy internet here so I'll read some posts until I get disconnected.

Good evening all- I'm just loving being sober.. now I'm feeling better (bedsides 3 hours sleep a night) I'm starting to really look forward to the future
I even got asked out today haha!! I know I'm nowhere near ready to date again yet but it was still nice.. I reckon I must walk around like a right miserable cow when I'm constantly hungover haha!!! Feels good to feel

After a long decision I dicede to never felt in love is hard went they break your heart to pieces.......I accept it no sex no kisses no cuddles no dreams ........
Didn't sleep yet now I have to stay up 2 appointments that I can't miss......last time I did this I was high and drunk ........ coffee time .....

Thought for the Day
"Those who do not recover are people who are constitutionally incapable of being honest with themselves. There are such unfortunates. They are not at fault. They seem to be born that way. They are naturally incapable of grasping and developing a manner of living which demands rigorous honesty. Their chances are less than average. There are those, too, who suffer from grave emotional and mental disorders, but many of them do recover, if they have the capacity to be honest." Am I completely honest with myself and with other people?
Meditation for the Day
You can make use of your mistakes, failures, losses, and sufferings. It is not what happens to you so much as what use you make of it. Take your sufferings, difficulties, and hardships and make use of them to help some unfortunate soul who is faced with the same troubles. Then something good will come out of your suffering and the world will be a better place because of it. The good you do each day will live on, after the trouble and distress have gone, after the difficulty and the pain have passed away.
Prayer for the Day
I pray that I may make good use of my mistakes and failures. I pray that some good may result from my painful experiences.
