24 Hour Recovery Connection Part 278
One more again!!!! At my old firm we used to play brutal games of Uno during our lunch hour and that was always the phrase we shouted when we were about to slam someone pretty hard. We had our own rules so sometimes you got stuck drawing 20+ cards which is how that phrase originated. I'm slamming the AV for 24 hours so ONE MORE AGAIN!!! 😝 I may have to coin that as my 24 hour phrase now 😉
Seven weeks today!!! I'm feeling so much better in so many ways.
Looking forward to dinner today with my grandson. He stopped by last night and said he's craving sushi, so we'll be rolling it up today! It's kind of like our "thing", LOL. It's been months since we made it so I'm excited. Not exactly the heirloom recipes I want to pass down, but this is all about the memories!
I'm off to get my day started, but couldn't do so until I committed to 24 hours of sobriety! Here's to a sober Sunday for all!

9:52 am in California and checking in for another 24. Sitting on my back patio enjoying breakfast and a slight breeze. I love quiet Sunday mornings, especially since the rest of the day is going to burst back into crazy construction noise.
Have a great day everyone!

^^^ It may have been Nick....he has fallen a little in love with all of the Aussie chocolate I have been ordering, and chocolate mousse cake like this is the bomb where I come from.
We have ten tons of Aussie chocolate and cookies here right now, or we did...hmm.....must go check the cupboard.

24 more for this sad grateful alcoholic.
What matters?...Only the flicker of light within the darkness, the feeling of warmth within the cold, the knowledge of love within the void.
—Joan Walsh Anglund
If we were lost at sea, surrounded by darkness pierced only by one distant blinking light, we would follow that light. As we followed it, it would become clearer and brighter until it brought us safely to land.
Sometimes when we're depressed, we feel as though we're lost on a dark sea. But there is always a flicker of light for us. It may be prayer, or the love of a special friend. When we see that light, we need to move toward it. Whatever brings us hope is like that flicker of light. The more we seek it, the clearer and brighter the light will become.
When we are cold and our bodies begin to numb, we must keep moving. Movement will keep us alive. When our emotions are numb, we need people or things or places that will warm our hearts. When no one else is around, hot baths or a favorite treat can bring the warmth of our own self-love into our lives when we need it the most.
How can I brighten my inner light today?
