How beautiful, Arbor! In our house, I could easily make that a hot sauce rack. Lol

Thank you for your well wishes and continued prayers. I'm keeping a thankful mindset. Our house is dry. We have power now, clean water, and plenty of food. Our family members and friends are accounted for and safe. There is so much to say beyond that, but I just can't find the words right now. Thank you for continuing to keep this area in your thoughts and prayers. ❤️

Blue skies kicked off the restoration process this morning. We are still unable to get into my father in law's apartment, but we were able to get out for a bit today. The grocery stores are restocking and gas stations are reopening...all good things.
I think tonight will bring some much more peaceful sleep. Thanks for your care and prayers!

That's good news Conquest. I hope y'all will find things in order at your father in laws's place. A busy weekend awaits I'm sure.

TGIF. Gym time.

Thank you Suze. And as I recall you'll have the same in week or so.

Today is also my 51st. I had a nice gym session this morning feeling good and strong to take my mind off it. Now, however, I'm headed out to a local restaurant and my buy myself a caramel birthday cake from their bakery. A specialty for them. Yummy treat for me. It's quite pleasant out today so I predict a bit of coffee/patio time and a bit of reflection.

Oh how I wish I could make you a caramel espresso....I think you would like that.

Hey, I imagine you will end up passing through Columbus at some stage? Maybe?
You could see my gorgeous house.
Anyway....it will have to be a cyber espresso for today.
I hope the cake is as good as it sounds.

Thanks guys, and that caramel espresso would be great I'm sure. Best enjoyed in your garden. I've never been to your home state, though I hear parts of it are quite bucolic. Perhaps there are some regional hikes. My ticket to Albuquerque is nonrefundable I'm afraid. Otherwise I'd be trying to figure out how to drop in on Columbus en route. . I'm so ready for a change of scenery....to get out in the wilderness. Almost some sort of primal need. Glad my wife doesn't give me much grief about it.

You're going to be in Albuquerque on the 23rd yes?
I think that's what you said....

I also think I need to mention that I had a meltdown last night.
Total and complete terror that I won't be able to be ready for the wedding and that my outfit won't work out and that it could rain....sigh....I went to sleep in tears and Nick was trying so hard to comfort me and tell me it would all be OK...

So, I had a good night's sleep and a while ago I bought 5 giant black umbrellas...if it rains, it rains.
