Class of March 2016 part 55
Thanks Dee!
I can hear the next door neighbors outside ~ sounds like they're still up from last night. Damn kids! The best part ~ I don't even miss that!
I was watching Friends yesterday & realized the woman playing Phoebe's grandmother is Mrs. Roper from Three's Company! (Another favorite sitcom of mine) ~ I was like, how did I not notice that before??? (Oh, yeah, I was always drunk!)
DUH!!!

Sam- I was think9ing of you just then...'Canadian pickers' on TV. 2 old guys- dressed in plaid, Buffalo Bill jackets with the tassles and 28 gallon hats. They were buying dinosaur parts..and building a full scale replica of the Space Shuttle.
Morning!!
Well at work already. Lots to get done before Monday when my boss is back from vacation. Hoping for a quiet and therefore productive day.
Thanks for the new thread Dee!
Purplrks - I'm terrible for not remembering watching movies because I was drunk. DH will be like "we've seen that already" and then there's me...... Hope you have a great day today!
PJ - what a weird coincidence....that is the exact outfit I am wearing to work today.
Hi Mish!!
Well better get at it. The sooner the day starts the sooner it ends. Have a great Saturday!!

Day 58. It's too darn early to think of anything witty to say about 58.
Up so darn early because I had to go to my folks' house and feed the dogs. Typing this as they are doing their business outside. Going back home and back to sleep in three minutes. I'm so sleepy I might even forget I did this post and repeat it later. Lucky y'all.
I'm not gonna drink today. No matter what.

Morning/evening all.
Kinda glad I'm not back in that Pennsylvania heat wave. Bobbie, it sounds like St. Louis is ground zero for the heat. Stay cool LB and everyone.
We were hiking up above 8000 ft. yesterday and were stymied by all the snowfields we had to cross. I can't remember snow this late at that altitude. Met a few hikers doing the Pacific Coast Trail (PCT, of "Wild" fame) and they were passing through like it was nothing. We asked a young couple where they had started. "Mexico" they said. We had started at the trailhead 4 miles back. Geesh.
Wife said we have to do the PCT before we're too old. I said that ship might have sailed already. We've done a few hundred miles backpacking out here and dearly loved it, but a few thousand on the PCT?!?!
Everyone arrives today to celebrate SIL's birthday. Here come the drinks I have to say no to, champagne and all no doubt. I can do it.
Have a great Saturday everyone.

Morning Sam. Morning/evening everyone else!
Nothing huge scheduled for today.
Pelagic, your hike/trip sounds great. I don't think your chance to hike more of the PCT has passed - just gotta be smart about it. I am a little jealous right now.

Morning! Went to breakfast w/dh. Home, doing a little cleaning. Spending the afternoon with Nathan and his counselor. Looking forward to it.
I'd love to hike the PCT someday, Pelagic. Hope you guys do it.
Have a great day, guys. Oh yeah, don't drink. Duh.

Went out this morning to run a few errands, get a haircut, etc. Get home at about 9:30am and DW is already into the booze. Before I went out this morning, I asked her if she wanted to do stuff today - you know movies, bowling, anything - she said no. These are the days that try me the most. Wish me luck!!
Hi Marchers!
Yes, it's another scorcher here in PA. Heading to my brother's later to celebrate my SIL's 30th bd. Ahh, to be turning 30 again. There will be plenty of drinking going on, but I'm usually ok away from home. It's the entertaining here at home that always gets me.
MITA, that must be so hard with your wife's drinking. Can you get out of the house and away from it for the day? Here for you if you need us!
Hope everyone else is having a great day!
