Hello all, checking in, thanks to those who have been asking after me.

Briar, it's really great to see you here!

Venus, it sounds like you are moving forward and happier than a few weeks ago. I'm glad to see that.

Congrats on all the milestones!!

I've had a busy few weeks, kids wrapped up school, we took a weekend to Vermont to look at UVM, had to stop and tour Ben and Jerry's while up there! I've been spending a lot of time on a group related to my health issue and upcoming surgery, to try to manage the anxiety I'm feeling around that. Busy trying to get home and life organized for surgery and several weeks of recovery. Have to admit, I'm scared. Looking forward to being on the other side of it all. As if that's not enough, my husband had a biopsy today. He gets those results the day of my surgery...need to try to shift that appointment a day early or later, if possible, so he can be around when surgery is done, in case I or the doctor need him. He doesn't think of such things...

So, 10 more days...

Hope everyone is well, and I'll try to check in more often. Love you all!

It's going to be OK phoebe love: I know it's scary.
But we are going to be with you in spirit every minute.
Hoping your husband's results will be good.

And thank you. Things are definitely changing for Nick and I.
We have both done a lot of work, and well, I think in a few days I will write a much longer post about everything. Suffice to say that I thought I had had all of the changes I could deal with a few months ago...ha I say. Boy was I wrong. One thing I am realising though, finally, is that scary change isn't always always a bad thing. And yes, sometimes life takes us around some dark corners, but we can actually find our way back into the light. Yep, corny, I know, but true nevertheless.

Tired here, so love and goodnight and good morning and I will catchup with everyone tomorrow.

Hi Phoebe, you have a lot on your plate. Hang in there, you are loved and will make it through.

Suze, you've been through so much. You're tougher than I bet you ever realized.

So, I work with law enforcement people, which is the only reason I know this wonderful story: today one of our local cops, a big tough guy, stopped two lanes of traffic to rescue a tiny black kitten that had wandered onto the highway. He became smitten with it while he waited for animal control to arrive and sent us a whole bunch of pictures. Now he is adopting it.

Sometimes the little miracles are the big ones, right?

Sending many, many, many prayers your way, Phoebe, for you and your husband.

I'd be scared, too.

A friend of mine had the same surgery (I think - had well over a foot of her intestines removed) and she is doing so very well now.

Sweet story, Briar, and thanks for all the love folks.

Happy post: Having a sleepover for ds and 4 friends tonight. Wanted ot have a fun tie for him, before a boring few weeks where I wont be able to do much. So, pizza, fruit, s'mores(or Klondikes if we get the thunder storms), and crepes with berries and whipped cream for breakfast. Oh, and bacon!

Hi gang.

My stars phoebe! You really are juggling a lot at the moment and still managing to focus on your family. Was your daughter interested in UVM? It sounds like a nice night for your son and his buddies. I don't think I've ever had a Klondike. I like to make Dutch babies sometimes for breakfast, especially when we're on vacation, but have never made crepes. Hmmmm.

You seem better Suze. Makes me happy for you two.

And gotta love a story about a little kitten. I'm more a dog person but there's something cute about kitties.

Long day here. Same ole same ole, I'm in a boring phase. While my family does their summer travels, maybe I'll learn to make crepes.

Hi to all the rest of the team too, and happy weekend to ya.

Hi, Mark.

Crepes are fun to make.

We used to have a crepe pan back when crepes were all the rage.

I especially like dessert crepes - wait, is that laughter I hear!!!!!!!!
