One Year & Over Part 51
Ugh, I hate my job today. Lots of "not good" changes taking place. I will need to suck it up and adapt because there are really no good options for other local jobs in my field right now.
Today's coping mechanism was to come home early and get a lot done around the house. No thoughts of drinking. Definitely would not help the situation.

Good morning Overs.
Hi Canadian Koala you are half way there or here, see you officially soon but pop in anyway.
Sorry for your loss fbl.
InPar I'm glad you are getting help with your shoulder.
Mrs T is doing quite well, she is currently injecting herself with a blood clot busting med. She is loosing some of her hair but shouldn't loose it all. She says she is feeling strong enough to walk to the hospital this afternoon to have the pump removed - we'll see. It's a sunny day so she will have to wear her new factor 50 sun hat that looks a bit like an old fashioned bonnet.
As her carer it is an interesting experience. The temptation is always there to wrap her in cotton wool and do everything for her. She would currently tell me where to get off. So I support and offer assistance.
Have the best day you can everyone.

Hi, SW! It's great to see you!
That's horrible about the fire.
Andy, I hope your wife does manage to get out and walk. How far away is the hospital? I'd be a little apprehensive too if I were you--but it might really cheer her spirits to get out and about like a "normal" person and not an invalid.
What happens if she gets exposed to sunlight?

As someone who was a preofessional career in an earlier life, I know how difficult it is to hold back from taking over Andy, sounds like your wife knows when to tell you to step back. And you know how to be relaxed about it! Seriously, it's a difficult balance to find, and in your situation, the scales will ever be changing weights. Please tell you wife that I am in awe of her strength, humour and dignity.
Thanks for the kind words everyone. Jim was one-of-a-kind for sure (in a good way). Always tough to lose a friend.
Thoughts and prayers to everyone in London affected by that horrible fire.
Congrats to Dharma, Kris, Wolfie, Toots and PJ, all celebrating milestones today. In just 8 days I'll hit 8 years!
Have a Happy Hump-Day, overs!

Andy, kudos to Mrs Terrific for her attitude and strength (and I don't doubt that your thoughtful assistance is a huge help). Sending prayers!
GHD, a job one doesn't like (and that can mean many things) is so unfortunate. Been there, done that and sending good vibes to you. Finding interests outside job can help a bit. I'm thoroughly enjoying retirement.
