It's 6:18 a.m. in IL and I'm in for another 24. Not a very good night, so I'm hoping I have a better day.

Congrats to everyone making the commitment today and big hugs for anyone struggling. Suze, I hope we hear from you soon.

Much love to all. ❤❤

do you like that words 'thrillions?'? It was a typo- but according to the urban dictionary- it exists, it means lots and lots and lots of (wait for it) stuff.

2000! That is so cool, Leigh, congratulations!

Good morning everyone. I meant to get on here last night but fell asleep early. Enjoying another sober Saturday morning. . We are off Monday, so it's even sweeter.

I was at the hair salon yesterday after work, feeling exhausted, and thought about having a drink. They will give you a drink there, so when asked I thought it 'would be nice' for a minute. Then I went for a Diet Coke. I was so tired, it was Friday afternoon, and I had a ridiculous tradition of having a beer whilst bored sitting there for ages with all the foil things on my head. Sheez! But I didn't, and am so glad! It's amazing how silly a trigger can be. A hair trigger! Regardless, I need to stick close.

It is very overcast tropical outside today. I am lingering in bed with good coffee for a while. So many things on the list but I am tired. I guess I could make soup, watch a movie and do nothing. Does energy come back? If not, I still love being sober as opposed to my past life.

Delilah, my mother went through a similar experience when she couldn't tolerate the 'gold standard ' lymphoma infusion drug. It was frightening. They tried an older drug and it worked beautifully. I am hoping and praying they find the right treatment for your mom, too.

Sending love to everyone. Have an awesome sober Saturday.

I'm ALL in for another 24.
Congratulations to everyone celebrating a Milestone, whether it's one hour, one day, one month, one year or 2000 days and beyond!!

My heart hurts for some members of our 24-hr. family. One thing we all know for certain.....Drinking will not help us in any situation. Let's keep doing this beautiful thing called Sobriety and Recovery!

Peace, strength, hugs and love to all.....xxxx

Morning Red Enjoy your coffee and lazy Sat. morning in bed.
Your body is still healing. Rest all you can.

I was incredibly tired for the first 90 days and napped or slept in whenever I could. Even now when I'm tired, I listen to my body and if it needs a weekend sleep in or nap, I don't feel guilty. I'm taking care of HALTS (hungry, angry, lonely, tired/thirsty, stressed/sad) and that helps in all areas of my recovery.

Wishing you a nice long holiday weekend.
