24 Hour Recovery Connection Part 245
hi all, i've been absent for a while, hope you are all well, i've missed you guys!
I'm sober but struggling ++ with anxiety at the moment keep worrying about potential bad things happening to my baby. I think in my job i've seen lots of poorly people kids included so makes the anxiety worse. Work's been quite stressful so gonna cut back on my hours a bit. Also having CBT- had a session today which really helps.
I know drinking will just make everything a whole heap worse so I'll have 24 please! xx

Good morning! It looks like it's gonna be a good day to be sober! Waking up without a hangover still isn't gettin old. I doubt it ever will.
Today I'm going to start doing a home repair. It's one if those "oops I can't believe I did that" repair. So, if you hear some cussing and swearing today, don't worry, it's just me.
Welcome back McFlurry. Congrats to today's celebrants and, all who are sober today!

“If you're trying to achieve, there will be roadblocks. I've had them; everybody has had them. But obstacles don't have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it.”
6:00am in Alberta, and you're right jsm, today is going to be a darn good day not to drink!
Another 24 for me please, and thanks...

Good morning to everyone who have committed to having a sober 24!
Last night I changed the brake pads on all 4 wheels of our SUV. I even did it after a full day of work. I never would have had the energy or the focus to do that when I was still drinking.
I raise a cola to all of you this morning. Have a beautiful sober day! Much love to all.

I was reading a post by Soberwolf recently where he said there are 2 essential things we mustn't ever do.
1 NEVER allow yourself to entertain the thought of a drink being a possibility EVER
2 NEVER romantice memories of past drinking
If we notice we are doing this we must recognise and challenge these thoughts immediately. Just thought I'd share I have found this very helpful.....
