Class of March 2016 part 48
Sam - sorry Charlie isn't feeling well. Poor pup.
Purp - we're certainly rooting for him. It's not good, but not "there's nothing we can do" either. He's a super positive guy. I just can't imagine having to wrap my head around news like that. His boss is helping to get a meal calendar going for the family. One way we can help support them.
Bobbie - hope you enjoyed your hands in the dirt!
I'm running errands while DD is at a birthday party. Going to make a Greek pasta salad and a dip of some sort for the Mother's Day shindig.

CH - that's so cool your neighbors invited you over.
Yeah, Purp, I guess I meant a day spent at home, not already scheduled.
My yard looks pretty good, just saying. More old people cards. If you had told me 2 years ago that every Friday and Saturday we would be playing Canasta, I wouldn't have believed it. Yet, here we are. It's fun.
Hope everyone is enjoying their day.

Listening to my ABR Band cd (who, btw, is being considered for a Grammy nomination for Best Contemporary Blues Album! That's right!)
This morning at work someone told me "you look tired" ~ I thought Lady, it's 6:30 in the morning! ~ Lol but I can't imagine how rough I looked with a hangover every day.....gotta relax a little more, I guess.....

Nice day off. Bought a ton of books (no picture, sorry for those who care) for $5. Seriously it was like 25 great books, including some good recovery books. Did my laundry. Played Mario Kart with my nephew for three hours. Napped twice. Ate good food. Went to an AA meeting. Now it's time for bed. Hope everyone had a nice day!
But luckily, my dad married an absolutely wonderful woman 27 years ago who I can also consider a mom. She truly is one of the best people I've ever met in my life. As much as I love my dad, she's way way way better a person than him. He's a lucky man. I'm also lucky to have had in her my life for so long now.
I have to work tomorrow morning/afternoon, but I'm going to have dinner with her and the rest of the family after that. And, yes, I'll be thinking of my "real" mother during that time as well. She was a complicated person with her own drug issues and psychological problems but I know that, no matter what, she did love me and I love her too and I hope she knew that too when she passed away.
Hey PJ....are you around? I have a sick wee one. He's hypoglycemic so when he doesn't eat one of us has to make sure he gets sugar in his system about every hour so I'm taking the 1st shift. I'll be up all night. I am currently watching From Hell with Johnny Depp. I love Jack the Ripper stuff.
