Happy Memorial Day, all...
Jack just has that All Around Great Dog look. We had our own Jack for 14 lovely years and he was like that, too...maybe it's the name!
Feeling Good, I'm so sorry about your beagle. I'm sadly quite experienced in making that decision and know how terribly painful it is, even when it's the right decision. You have my utmost sympathy.

Gilmer, I remember those butterscotch, wow they were brilliant! I agree, caramel has nothing on them!
FG, I'm sorry too you lost your beagle, it breaks our hearts when we have to let our beloved friends go.
I've still got another bank holiday day. Our Steelworks give office staff 2 extra days a year tagged onto 2 bank holidays, so it makes a nice long weekend.
Got the plumber here today and my house is an absolute tip. Everything out the spare room is strewn all over. I've really got to get rid. I've got bags for the charity shop and for a friend who does car boot sales, some for the skip, but alas, still too much stuff. Some is going in the attic. Good old attic, hubby would just chuck it all. He's a minimalist and I'm trying to be, too!
Hope it's a good Tuesday for everyone, special hugs and prayers.

GHD, I too have been off since last Friday and have had exactly one sunny day. Not typical weather for this time of year on the East Coast. It is almost chilly, with temps staying in the fifties and sixties. Sunshine is mental coffee for me.
Umm, salted caramel is all the rage now. It's now available in candy bars, ice cream, and even brownies. The sweet/salty combo is rather addicting once you wrap your head around it.

I have an invite to a former coworker's birthday party being held at a mexican restaurant. I have attended these before in my drinking days. Though there will be a meal at some point, the main focus will be drinking. She was one of my closest work friends and her husband and I are friends also. I won't feel tempted to drink if I go, it's more that going to events that are mainly alcohol focused just bore me to tears today. Drunks are really terrible conversationalists. I apologize to everyone whom had to hear me blather on for decades drunk. I have a card to play for a last minute out. It will probably be a last moment decision for me.

Morning all. We've had some amazing summer weather here, but cool again today. Good for my garden I think.
Just started raining.
Did I tell you all that the noisy guy got kicked out? Well he'll be here another month I guess but yeah the landlord told him to leave.
95 per cent sure that I'm going back to school. Exciting/scary.

My cat is finished with his chemotherapy, yay! All we can do for now is hope for the best. It was very hard on me mentally and emotionally. There were risks involved.
The chances for a permanent cure are not good since it is a very aggressive type of cancer, but I can't help hoping. At least we have bought him some time.
He looks so happy and peaceful right now, sleeping in his cat bed.

GHD, weird weather nowadays, the seasons are not the same anymore. It's lovely sunshine here now and supposed to be for rest of working week.
