24 Hour Recovery Connection Part 240
You can do it for one day mangoman. Plan something to do after 4:00 that doesn't involve drinking. A nice meal, a walk, a movie or take a long nap. Or check for a local AA meeting and attend it. Just do something to keep you from dwelling on thoughts of drinking.

Good morning everyone! Yesterday I went for a long bicycle ride in the country. I made it a point to pay attention to all the wildlife I saw. It was mostly birds but, some furry creatures too. I would've missed out on this if I had been hungover. So, yes I'm in for another day of sobriety.
Congrats to today's celebrants! I hope we all get through this day sober. My prayers for anyone who is struggling no matter that the reason is.
Delilah, I think the strength your showing right now is phenomenal and, a testament to your commitment to sobriety. An example for us all to follow.

Never give up trying. You'll win out!
“People often say that motivation doesn't last. Well, neither does bathing - that's why we recommend it daily.”
6:05am in Alberta. Today is going to be a darn good gay not to drink, right mangoman? You can do it, one hour at a time if need be...
Another 24 for me please, and thanks....
For me the answer is that I am an alcoholic.
And I need to do whatever it takes to stay sober one day at a time.
In the early days, each time I got sober, that 4/5pm mark of the day was a huge struggle. But rather than feel bad about being in the struggle, I made sure I had other things to do at this time of day until I got more used to not picking up a drink.
It wasn't easy for sure, but we can do it. With practice and patience and self-love.
Thinking of you today. ♥
