Goat here, feeling very grateful to be in recovery, and that the weight of drinking is no longer on my shoulders.
I am no longer looking over my shoulder to see if there are blue lights behind me. I no longer think of jails, institutions and death as being only one wrong move away.
I am no longer the person drowning my life in alcohol. I am no longer the person putting myself, the people around me, and even people I don't know at risk.
I am getting to know myself for the first time in my life, thanks to my program, thanks to the people in the rooms and here, and thanks especially to my very special Suze.
And, I am no longer alone. I am among friends and I am surrounded by love.
Love and gratitude to all ♥

This is the beautiful man I came to know a year and a few months ago truly coming into himself.
So very proud of you Nick and so very grateful for you.
Grateful to be sharing the journey with you and so very much more.
