Cheers for Venuscat Part Three
At Nick's suggestion I will certainly rethink my impression that he is the Eighth Wonder of the World. How about 16 1/2 Wonder? This important issue must be resolved before the sun sets tonight on the Animal Farm.
I think I may agree with Suze's suggestion that they are both human but with all this Goat and Cat talk I will waste no time giving it all the attention it deserves. That's fur sure!

Hi Suze: No need to respond to this. Rest. Hang in there and sleep will come. Sleep "knits up the raveled sleeve of care" (I love that quote! My "know it all" computer wanted it to read "travelled sleeve of care"- for once I think it was on the right track in this situation).
I've been thinking of you a lot, a very lot over the past week and am very happy that you are back safe and sound.. I think you'll enjoy the Spring in the Midwest. When you feel better why not pay a visit to the local nursery and see if they have any interesting plants. They know which ones are hardy and which are not.
Now when you lie down think of black cat after cat, jumping over a little fence, purring. Their long tails waving hello to you!
Fondly, forever
Bill and Boswell.

Thanks Nick. I've thought it over and instead of your being the Eighth Wonder of the World. I've decided to nominate you and Suze to receive jointly the Nobel Prize in Niceness. Hope you two will be sufficiently rested to travel to Stockholm later on. First class of course, kosher veggie menu ("Fletcherize"- i.e. chew each mouthful 100 times, as recommended by Horace Fletcher, the "Great Masticator"), reindeer hats if it's Christmas.
Bill.
Bill.
Hi!
I see you live in Scotland. I've always loved the old Harry Lauder song:
Ye'll never, never, never thrive, lying in yer bed.
Early risin' makes us wise, I've often heard it said.
I believe in that mysel', but as far as I can see,
If early risin' makes us wise, ye'll say the same as me:
CHORUS: O! it's nice to get up in the mornin' when the sun begins to shine,
At four or five or six o'clock in the good old summertime.
When the snow is snowin', and it's murky overhead,
O! it's nice to get up in the mornin' but it's nicer to lie in bed.
O! there's lots o' folks that never work; they hate the very name;
And others would be idle if it wasn't just for shame.
They say we should rise wi' the lark; well, I believe that when
The lark that we should rise wi' doesn't get up till ten. CHORUS
O! my brither Jock's a baker, and he sleeps along wi' me.
In the winter morn Jock has to rise and start his work at three.
Before he gets his troosers on, his legs are nearly numb,
So while he's standin' shiverin', I lie in bed and hum:
CHORUS: O! it's nice to get up in the mornin' when the sun begins to shine,
At four or five or six o'clock in the good old summertime.
When the snow is snowin', and it's murky overhead,
O! it's nice to get up in the mornin' but it's nicer to lie in bed.
