Four months today without alcohol and without cigarettes.

It's wonderful to wake up every day not coughing and without a hangover.

Even my coffee looks happy this morning!

I'm still eligible to stay in this "One Year and Under Club" for 8 more months!

Congratulations Canadian Koala!! 4 months free is wonderful!! Thanks or posting your coffee ...that is awesome.

Helen- I have missed the top of my feet with sunscreen on a previous trip... The only thing I had with me was noxema cream and it did take care of the sting. lol I hope you enjoy your last day on vacation!

hi --went to the party last night and everything went great! I had fun---I didn't even think about having a drink --I was so busy talking and usually I will look down to see what people are drinking and I didn't think about it till I got into bed last night. I'm so happy with the out come of the evening. thanks again for all the support.

Woohoo Can Koala! Love the happy coffee lol

Babs that's great! What a good feeling to have fun and not miss the drinking.

I fly home tomorrow and I think it's safe to say my vacation has been a complete success. After reading other posts I'll have to be careful not to get complacent once I'm home and let my guard down. And my feet are a redish brown today - it's all good

Congrats CK on four months. I remember it definitely getting early by that point, with virtually no overwhelming cravings hitting me any longer. Still loads of temptation, I just felt it was no longer a white knuckle adventure any longer.

That's great that you can go to a party and enjoy yourself Babs!

Safe travels Helen!

Helen- I hope you enjoy your flight!

Great jobs Babs! I am glad you had a good time. I remember going to a 4th of July party a month sober and I was so uncomfortable. I am glad I don't feel like that anymore about those kinds of events.

We had some major camper problems yesterday. What a pain and it is going to cost quite a bit to get fixed. That is life though.

Good morning folks. Woke up in my own bed this morning and I feel great. It's good to be home.

I picked up on a few things this last week away with my niece. She is into meditation and eats a very clean diet. I am hoping to incorporate those things into my life. Now I have to get ready to go pick up my dog from Mr. Troy's.

Have a good one everyone.

Helen I really notice a big difference when I cut out processed foods, feel much less sluggish, more alert and more energy. And meditation is a great habit to get into. I keep meaning to do more. I kind of do at night with my sleep ap, but I don't always concentrate. I should make time for it. ( shoulda woulda coulda, I know!!!)

MW ouch about the camper costs, my Range Rover comes out the shop today what should have " absolutely be less than £200" is now £500-£600. I offered my left kidney as a trade, but so far no trade!

Toots- I feel for you! that is quite a bit more money then you thought it would be.

Our camper should be done today....I am happy about that. So far we have been lucky AAA hauled it twice for us.

Toots my niece also says she feels so much better with clean eating. I want to get more fresh fruit and vegetables prepped for easy eating in my fridge. I eat fresh fruit with breakfast every morning when on vacation but never at home. I also want to start eating more beans and legumes to have a few meat-free days each week. Mr. Troy recently saw a dietitian who said we shouldn't be eating white bread (even though I make my own) so I will be looking for some multi grain recipes to try.

hi everyone ~!
I like white bread too Helen and I should have veggies and fruit more available like right in front of hubby and I . We still tend to go the cookie jar or just something sweet. although we do eat bananas and oranges everyday.
I have my sister coming tomorrow so, won't probably post for a couple of days.
Have a good day !

CK I got off the nicotine about 3 months ago and once in a while I still get this itch down inside me sometimes, but it doesn't last long.

Helen- I hope you find some multi grain recipes you like for bread...do you have a bread machine?

I hope everyone is having a nice evening. I am sitting here thinking how grateful I am that I am sober and that for some reason it finally clicked in my head I didn't want to live that way anymore. I have a totally different mindset. It is really strange when I think about it. I am still looking healthier and healthier 10 months in. crazy!
