winters these days here are pretty good - 20-25 degrees C in the day and rarely below 10 at night.

I think Aussie agrees with me it should be winter all year round

Hi Mirage,
doing well except for the heat , looking at a top of 33 c. here today way to hot for 6 days into Spring. Lots of fires in the area so the air is very smoky . No rain forecast and it is tinder dry . It's going to be a long summer.
Not a good sign we haven't heard from Lofty .

So I guess now would be a really bad time to brag about how I've had the air and heat off for 2 weeks. It's been averaging about 24c for highs and 15c for lows. VERY lucky, this is rare. I will be bummed when we have to shut the windows and turn on the heat! Hang in there, this too shall pass!

Exciting things happening in Mirageland. My son's soccer team is undefeated, 5-0! Last year, we won a total of 3 games so this is very exciting!! He's never been on a winning team and he's a captain and in his last year of school so it's all been a lot of fun for him and us. Also, we're getting our kitchen remodeled! This Monday, they will come and gut it. We are keeping the appliances and the floor so the footprint will stay the same, but we're getting cabinets, counters, backsplash, sink and lighting. It's gonna be a big pain for a month and very expensive, but we are due and it'll sell better when we move eventually. It's 25 years old.

I'm off to breakfast, have an awesome weekend! xo

That does sound great Mirage.
Now , since your not boasting about the great weather might I suggest BBQ while the kitchen is being done , this should free up the kitchen area until it is ready for use and if things are the same in the States BBQ is mans work so you will also get out of the cooking .

Hello my sober friends!
Well, our soccer team is now on a losing streak. lol It was fun while it lasted! We'll see how the season plays out. I'm lucky my son has a good attitude about it all. He doesn't brood.

Kitchen is coming along after week one. Waiting for cabinets today, that will be fun. Loving our new recessed lights on a dimmer switch.

Lost a high school friend last night. Waiting to hear how. I don't want to jump to conclusions but he was a big drinker and suffered with anxiety, I know. Ugh, I'm sad.

Aussie, you doing ok staying away from the sauce? Thinking of you!

Hope things are good with you, Dee. Thinking of you, too!

Have a great week, all! xxoo

It's hard to completely change your life and quit drinking if your spouse doesn't. It gets to me, too, sometimes. I think at the end of the day though, you just know what's best for you and you is all you have control over. As much as those times kinda suck when I wish I could join in the fun with everyone, I know I can't and I'm so much happier in the long run. I was so tired of beating myself up over not having control over it. It feels good to feel good all the time. I don't need that junk. Neither do you! I'm proud of you for always trying, you're doing great. xo
