One Year & Over Part 48
So sad to hear the news about Chuck Berry. I got to see him perform live back in the 1980s at the Minnesota State Fair. The promoter paid him to an hour show and sure enough, after exactly one hour he laid down his guitar and walked off the stage. Of course, we all yelled and screamed for an encore which never came.
Looks like some nice weather this morning for my extended nature walk.
Have a Super Sunday, overs!

Nick and I have loved each other through a very, very tough first week.
We had some things to work out....some really hard things.
But we keep getting there, and getting stronger one day at a time.
Going to be on my own for a couple of days while he goes on a business trip tomorrow night....I know he is worried about that, but I will be just fine.
I have all of you to keep me company. ♥

The second time I saw Bob Dylan in the late 1980's, he did the same. Raced through all his hits with his band for 55 minutes, an encore, and then done! One hour on the nose. I said that I would no longer spend my money to see him again, and I haven't. Glad I got to see him in 1981 when he still cared.
Happy Spring everyone! Have a great day!
Welcome Determined. What mountains? Seeing the surfer on your avatar, I presume you don't mean the Cairngorms!!
Hi guys, hugs to those who need them for emotional or physical issues. All is well in Tootsville just now, just preparing mentally for changes ahead when I leave work in a few weeks. I have to be careful not to sit around doing nothing and I also have to make sure I don't isolate. I already got in touch with one friend I haven't seen for ages and we're meeting for lunch this week.

Toots, good plan. When I retired I had all kinds of plans but it was hard to get moving. Luckily my move here to the OFH came sooner than I expected and I have one main rule for myself now - come what may, I get out of my apartment every day to socialize. I also usually do some activities but the socializing is critical. I've always had a tendency to get depressed and this helps me stay a little more "even".
