I think my former sponsor has stopped attending meetings in my neighborhood, or I would have run into her on the street. Sometimes I think of calling her because I suppose I have a resentment against her, since I do sometimes rethink our relationship with mixed feelings. But then I think, well she likely has a matching resentment and doesn't contact me, so it feels like she either wants to perpetuate the weird power-relationship we were in, or just forget the whole 3 years. Either way, no sense in stirring either one of us up.

I didn't expect to write so much on that topic. First time I've really broached it. Hmmm.

Dee -- thanks for making F.I.S.T. happen. We're loving it! :

G- nothing to ask. If he is having hassles with me- he would sayso - or will in his own time. He is a weird fish- much like me. I do know he has a wide family support base and when stressed with personal stuff, he isolates. Of course I ask if he is okay. Everything we do is based on honesty- has worked out fine so far- so I will just offer support and do the que sera bit. He turned 76 today, so the age bit is certainly a factor as well. It is not all about me (or so I have been told).

P.J., maybe he should come over to F.I.S.T.

Glee, now I'm worried. I know you were having some difficult days. I hope you're back in the good-groove, not the nasty one.

I think that yesterday, in a work meeting, I said that I was happy to work in my organization as long as we were aware that our sole purpose is to conform to toxic norms. I think I said that aloud. Hmmm.

Sober but not very restrained!

Happy morning/afternoon/evening all. No drinking for me today.

Did get some housecleaning done finally. Dust bunnies were starting to congregate, possibly for some evil take over of the armoire or dresser. I didn't get them all but they scattered enough that I think the only thing still in peril is possibly the night stand. I will be keeping a keen eye out for any suspicious movement or sounds, the fridge has recently failed as an informant so no help there.

Carry on.

I'll be forever grateful that she got me through steps 1 - 8. I have worked the rest on my own. I call her a few times a week still. I am worried she is getting complacent which none of us can afford to do. Whether we are aa focused, etc we need always hold ourselves accountable.

I'm in today with you all!

so many fist jokes, so inappropriate to even mention. However there is the 'Agents of Shield'. We could be the 'Fist Agents'.

The F.I.S.T. Manifesto will be all about taking the Perversion of Insanity and turning it to Power through Sobriety.

Hitting a "submit" button today. I'll be ready, because I'll be sober. Yay

THE FIST OF HU-PERSON-ITY.
OF RIGHTEOUSNESS AND GOOD, YES GOOD MY FRIENDS. TOGETHER WE CAN STICK IT UP THEM (METAPHORICALLY).

perhaps WE COULD SET UP A WORKING PARTY TO INVESTIGATE EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST ON STARTING UP A SUBCOMMITTEE WHICH CAN BE RESPONSIBLE FOR LOOKING INTO RECOMMENDATIONS TO BE SENT TO THE INITIATING GROUP WHO CAN SET UP A MEETING FOR THE DEFINITE POSSIBILITY OF A FIRM MAYBE TO START A FISTY COMMITTEE.

Hummm, have we changed primary focus? I'm really not sure what FIST means???

Anyway, I do not plan to drink or use today.

Have a great day, FIST's (??)

And now for something completely different--does anybody have any insights today on sobriety?

If you can't play nice about the name, we'll have to drop it. It stands for the First Insanity Survivors Thread. It stands for something -- fierce, fabulous. It's about empowerment, not force. As least imo.

May we practice subtle humor, where a sober respect for all readers restrains the urge to offend ?

Please?

So, this is about the level of my brain function today:
1. 5 defcon screaming children running up and down for 3 hours.

2. Trying to outwit a 3-going-on-2 year old is exhausting.

3. It's been a while since I've seen so much #2.

4. I will ketchup with this thread after my 14 hour day children have left and I have my nightly treat I've discovered. My end of day cigarette and blackberry ginger ale-- HEAVEN.

5. Still sober, and WILL NOT DRINK TODAY!
Stay strong you sober rockstars. *highfives all around*

I feel for you!

Glad you have time to unwind.

On the bright side, you'll be earning $$$.
